  1. I still don't get why John as emphasis on the word ORIGINAL,that just suggests to me that it is a classic northern soul tune that we've only ever known on a boot or reissue, and now a 1 only copy as surfaced as a demo or issue. I don't think it will be any of the usual suspects already mentioned..ie..gold professionals...Don varner on veep,or any of the wand rarities. I for one, will be a bit disappointed if its a gold professionals, considering the amount of issues that have turned up in recent years.
  2. I can confirm the other acetate of b holloway-lonely boy,I sold it around 2005! If memory serves,I'm sure it had something else on the back..is it eddie kendricks
  3. cant see it been this one,ive 2 or 3 in the last 2 years

I agree with pete, the dean Courtney issue is a once in a lifetime record! It's probably the record that's on jm s teaser haha...all mgm demos aren't really rare at all,and drift in and out of fashion! I wouldn't give anymore than 250 quid for any of em!
  5. Jm auctioned this about 3 yrs ago!
  6. well its definately a record that has never been seen on vinyl before! so forget proffessionals..jnr mccants..etc...it will defo be something that is very well known to everybody that we have only heard on a cd or reissue from a tape or acetate from the vaults! my money is on melba moore-magic touch with another cracking b side! or the originals-baby have mercy/suspicion
  7. it has to be said mate that, how in gods name does this record go for £3.5 on jm's,yet your copy is still sat here at £625,and by all accounts equally the same condition....the mind boggles!
  8. haha....yes it sounds like its in good nick...also it plays the b side aswell,i dont know what its called though!
  9. is everyone aware of the fact when you press listen on the jm teaser it plays stevie wonder-once in my life....is that another clue?
  10. thats a strong contender pete...although jm emphisises the word ORIGINAL! i reckon its gonna be something very famililar to us all but thought not to exist on 45!...ie melba moore magic touch!
  11. Northern soul classic ORIGINAL!...that would suggest that it's a widely common classic among us all,and that it's known not to exist, and that it's probably a boot that we have all had/got or seen! So get checking through your boots! And it would suggest that it doesn't exist on any other label...ie don gardner on Quinvy/veep...just bros on garrison/wand!
  12. wont be that,a couple of them have floated around recently!
  13. do you do you mean don varner?
  14. i personally think its gonna be a motown discovery!...probably THE ORIGINALS! i cant remember the title? the one on the one off acetate? its gonna be an issue of that!
  15. no mate there isnt one lined up...cos i had it im afraid!
  16. actually marc the only shrine 45 he has never had or auctioned is jd bryant, that could be regarded as a double sider and is a classichowever not the rarest record by any stretch!
  17. Melba Moore-magic touch on musicor or Sumet!
  18. can any one think of a northern soul record that has had speculation from word go,but knowone has ever seen one? eg...isnt there suppose to be a sam nesbitt-chase those clouds away on a u.k rca issue?
  19. what defines rarest? 1 maybe 2? and is it possible it will be very rare but not particulally good! i for one reckon its the inspirations on breakthrough, flippin rare and mega!
  20. I agree with Marc...that box never had a record inside it! Is it possible the seller had a few items to box up and post, and forgot to put the 45 in the box?
  21. Very good price for a very rare quality record!
  22. I think them on popsike is the other cautions release which is far superior, though this release is admittedly rarer!
  23. Such extreme differences in prices lately, For me I'm losing track of what a true realistic value is for a record, buying or selling!...and your right pete it ain't a patch on jd bryant.
  24. Did it fly out pete...you should have stuck it out for 3k...haha
