  1. Probably about 70% of my boxes from 1974 - which some sod borrowed in about 1982 and i never got back will have to try and rack my brain cell - Paul Fry N Wales where are you I wan't my boxes back!!!! (not for the vinyl but those schweppes crates are hard to get hold of now)
  2. Hear Hear!!! I think I said on another thread that all everything seems to be peeps moaning, I thought it was something to do with male PMT (post/pre moon tension) but it doesn't seem to have stopped. Yes venues were dives in the past(wigan early 70s a perfect example) as long as the music, the company and beer is flowing what the heck, think it is something to do with people getting older and expecting higher standards as there own standards of living improve. Just watching that prog on Ikea and seems to me that it's all there fault!!! No there's a thought IKEA designing soul venues - hell no give me sticky carpets anytime!!

What Cr*p. i only go about once a month and have been going to venues since about 1972/3 and only recently returned. Icertainly wouldn't go somewhere they played CDs and I think you are an insulting people like myself who perhaps haven't got a v good local scene and have to travel, stay over night etc or perhaps can't afford to go more often. As much as I love NS it is not my life and once twice a month is fine by me, would rather pick the events I go to rather than go for the sake of it then slag it off cos it's not "my genre" Good for you if you go 4-5 times a month yipee. But as Dave R said you will end up a very lonely person in a v empty venue. This attitude will neither encourage people like myself to stay on the scene or more importatnly encourage new and younger people on to the scene. phew - Chest now slightly lighter!!
  4. I have to agree with the guy earlier (but can't find his post). Firday night my front room, v poor atendance just me and mr smirnoff, ok so he brings the booze and its cheap, the dance floors wooden, the ladies is always clean and plenty of loo roll - but my god is the DJ crap!!!!
  5. Since I started buying vinyl again a few months ago, I have thought that some of the NS descriptions on ebay in some cases to say the least a bit iffy - but as I have been away from the scene for quite some time, who am I to question what people now class as NS. I sometimes think that the NS link to alot of the 70s stuff is a bit tenious to say the least, but as I said things change and it's not for me to comment but this example you have just highlighted is just TAKING THE P**S. But you never know it may catch on - RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well let's hope they don't book him for Prestatyn eh!
  7. Just her way of telling you it was a meaningful one night stand and to stop stalking her - I should think
  8. Now I remember the following come to mind Good Bye Nothing To Say - Javells Hit & Run - Rose Batiste And since I've grown up (yeh right) Footsteps Following Me - Frances Nero OOOOOH do I sound bitter. well what do expect form the original "QOFs"
  9. Nighters have the advantage cos when you come out as if by magic public transport is up and running again, no arguing over who's driving and expensive taxis and B&B!!!!!
  10. The number of venues was a excessive - but maybe the "70s" in the title put people off - it did me, didn't even bother to read the line up.
  11. Just think for all these years I've been fashionable and never new it....WOW!!!! On a more serious note. If the writer thinks that the music is now only confined to KFC ads we ought to invite him to Prestatyn or something similar. Does he actualy realise how many people actually go to these gigs all over the country and how much money some of these records actually fetch at auction. Think he needs to brush up on his research skills!!
  12. DOn't be silly I can't remember that far back, but am trying to.

There lies an ethical question, try finding a cremetorium with a deck, and would you want your "deep and meaningful" track played on CD. Am I splitting hairs here?
