  1. Sorry to be pedantic Terry but Grapevine was a FIRST UK ISSUE. LaBeat demo's - mine's an issue and I thought most of them were.
  2. Lets hope it makes it through the postage system for whoever won it
  3. Yes it came out on UK release on Bareback (same label as Wil Collins & Willpower).
  4. How much did it go for in the end?
  5. I understand - Tuscany is nice at this time of year.
  6. Ha ha! You poppin in for some northern at Benfleet on 13th?
  7. On my shortlist would be 60s Parliaments Sensations Two Plus Two Margeret Little Chesterfields 70s Lil Major Williams Elipsis Joseph Webster
  8. The WB issue is the FIRST issue as is Innovation II - as Innovation II used the Warner numbering system at this time it is fair to say these came out at the same time.....8019 on Innovation 2 is the 2nd issue,,,,,7826 coming before 8019 (sorry Plumby). It was only issued once on Warners (7826), but twice on Innovation II (7826 and 8019). Hope that clears that up.
  9. Yes probably right - some DJ's don't seem to know much.
  10. I will check at home. These are not reissues either.
  11. Some good points made there garethx
  12. Well there is also quite a bit of cheesy modern that wasn't really accepted at the time, but is now. I am thinking of things like Collins & Collins, Luther etc - played a bit but regarded as too slow for northern then.
  13. I am certain I have Quadrophonics on Warner Bros - 99.9% in fact. Are some of you guys on a wind up by confusing all these titles? Lorraine Rudolph / Johnson and Barbara Hall / Gayle Adams?
  14. Yes I agree with this. As a community we don't agree on everything on this or other threads, but should be able to disagree without too much name calling and vitriol on both sides. A bit of banter is fine, but some of this stuff is way past that.
  15. Old soul pack record - would imagine a few odd copies buried in collections.
  16. Have edited post and deleted offending word "if"
  17. Yeah but as described I can imaging how annoying this must have been if trying to film. There are some right dummies about. Had one at a venue once who insisted I wasn't "a proper DJ" because I hadn't put Barbara McNair in my 200 box for the night - like it is some type of "must play". When he kept going on I could have decked him quite easily Instead just told him he was a merchant banker.
  18. Not trying to choke you....perish the thought. Just different views of NS - doesn't make me "narrow minded" or an "anorak" either.
  19. ...we have different views on this. It's allowed.
  20. ...and I repeat again if I want to see a Picasso exhibition, I don't want to see Fred Trendy from Islington's interpretation of a Picasso. If I want to buy some art deco, I look for a 1920s piece, not something that looks like art deco, but which is made in China in 2008. I think you just have to accept that not every one views your new product as "northern soul". In the same way as many of us also don't see Rock and roll as northern soul. Please just accept that.
  21. All of the lists originated from Stak O wax. I know that because all the other lists have the same mistakes / typos etc in them.
  22. Yes - other side not bad either. It's still to have it's day as I haven't played it out much yet.
