  1. Yes - other side not bad either. It's still to have it's day as I haven't played it out much yet.

There are a nuimber which were given release numbers, but which as far as we can tell never came out. It's always possible that they got pressed and destroyed, but no one has ever seen copies. Ernie Hines, Honey Bees and Just Brothers are three examples. Then there's the odd one which isn't in the official discographies, but which did sneak out like J Kelly & Premiers.

I have never seen it, and believe it doesn't exist (in all probability)
  4. I have an article somewhere on her - shopping inChicago, in the studio, having her hair done etc. It was in Black Film & music Stars or something. I will try and find it.
  5. I got that copy when I bought some of your records . It's called "restless".
  6. No 7 is of course Walter`Wilson. When the tapes were discovered that's the name they had on it. It wasn't til later that the record turned up they found that the tapes had the wrong name on. A piece of trivia.

Always thought friday Night was a pretty dirty northern record
  10. Chrissie don't argue with Ian on Motown. It's his specialist subject

  16. Is she the person who was at the Rocket and asking a £1 for A5 copies of pictures of Sandi Sheldon? If so I thought she was very odd too.
  17. I am pretty sure `Searling played this at `Wigan 1980.
  18. Nobody dances to this anymore. I've tried to revive it recently It is good though.
  19. A few more obscure 60s off the top of me head which I don't see mentioned: Richard Marks did you ever lose something Tim & Dave Girl you're just so good to me Homer Banks Sweetie Pie Traditions / Parisiens Georgettes Hard hard Willie Feaster (Voices) Walter Wilson "Love keeps me crying" The slow version of Natural Four (ha ha!!!) too slow pre 85 Young ladies on Stang Tokays "Baby baby baby" Royal Robins "Something about you" Chico Lamarr From the 70s how could you forget Natural Impulse, the dreaded Papa Bear & Cubs which I am sure some people will say is good, and Willie dee "Looks like rain" - only now starting to get the credit it deserves Steve
  20. Sam spin in the 70s I think, though not a biggie then
  21. Nick don't find it suspect at all that the music hasn't been sorted out. With films music usually comes later. Let's face it there's plenty of northern to choose from, and the dancing scenes aren't likely to be great big long documentary shoots are they? A few seconds on each shot I'd imagine....so not too difficult to choreograph. Might have to rename you Nit-Pik Steve
  22. "Domino" sounds awful. Don't tell me it was played at the Mecca - Blackpool folk & hippy club would have been more appropriate.

What an excellent post. Sad but it all rings true.
  24. Must admit Tony, I glazed over some of the "talking heads" bits - preferring instead to see the artists Anyway good moaning Tone, hope you are well.
  25. Exactly and that's why I will buy this DVD when it comes out in the same way I bought SWONS.
