  1. First time I've heard this. Love it.
  2. Just interested if peoples collections are ever expanding or if they keep their collection the same size and try to improve it. I try to keep mine to two hundred, the main reasons being space and finances.
  3. The Manship USA 5th edition price guide arrived this morning. Suprised that their 3rd edition guide to bootlegs was also in the package. Manship says on his site that this is now twelve years old and that the 5th edition replaces it, but having a quick look through there looks to be loads of useful info.
  4. Wonderful, thanks for sharing.
  5. Turley Richards I feel alright
  6. Can't remember the first it might have been Willie Mitchell that driving beat which I was playing in 1972 just before discovering Selectadisc and all their sounds. Then some serious buying started:-)
  7. Will do Chalky. I wanted the info mainly for checking out some suspect records in my box. If I get stuck with any I will check old posts or post on the site I am amazed at the depth of knowledge of some of the guys on here.
  8. Thanks for all the info guys. Just ordered the manship price guide edition 5.
  9. Looks like I need to update 3rd edition to the new 5th edition. Then get the magnifying glass out :-)
  10. Another vote for Harold Burrage.
  11. Thanks Chalky.
  12. I would like to get a book on identifying originals, boots etc. should i get Manships or Brown and Koppels or is there another to consider?
  13. Amp and deck (sounds like two celebs) have been changed over the years but always played through a pair of 35 year old B&W DM4 speakers. Stanton St.80 turntable with 500b cartridge and a Cambridge Audio Azur 540A amplifier. I agree about the grado cartridge i had one years ago until the kids decided to use it for scratching, afraid it did'nt survive that. Update - I have just changed the Stanton for a Rega RP1 with RB101 arm and Ortofon OM5e cartridge. It only arrived today but initial impression is a big improvement on the Stanton which had the short scratchig arm fitted.
  14. Getting more difficult to find.
  15. Agree about Barbara Mason." Don't ever want to lose your love" is brilliant IMOP.
  16. If you don't need me and Can I change my mind are both faves.
