  1. Can someone post the scan that was deleted please.
  2. I heard he had sold his stock due to his health. Maybe this is the stock Pete was talking about in the topic he started a month ago
  3. You are probably right.
  4. But the scene has evolved over the years, different tempos and genres have become common place, coming and going as tastes and styles dictate. It wasn't just uptempo though in the early days of the scene.
  5. Yes I read it Pete. Do you know who it is? Must be known having been around Nd selling soul since 1969?
  6. Don't think it's been mentioned, do we know what is in the run out?
  7. I thought it was about £40 for the plain black vinyl issue and no PS. Not rare by any stretch of the imagination.
  8. https://www.ebay.com/itm/251197631829?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2FRecords-%2F176985%2Fi.html%3F_sop%3D10%26_gcs%3D1093%26_from%3DR40%26_pcats%3D11233%26_nkw%3D251197631829%26_rdc%3D1 From Wolverhmpton, been selling soul since 1969, don't think he wants to sell that one tho.

  12. you must be posher not dropping your "h"'s
  13. If anyone else would like one if these videos of Darrow at the Wilton can you shout up, there's not many left and I don't think I will be doing anymore. Quality isn't bad, Peter99 will vouch for that as he has watched his already.
  14. Christ another oldies vs. newies topic. The northern soul scene was built on rare records, the rarer the better. Many of the big records from the major venues over the years were extremely rare and in many cases they have remained extremely rare. There is no difference between the so called northern soul scene and the rare soul scene so lets get that out of the way straight away. Anyway back to the question, it gets up my arris (whatever that is) as well when ever I've DJ'ed I've asked what sort of set is wanted and I've done what the promoter asks. If that isn't right for the night then it isn't my fault. It's time promoters were questioned rather than lay the blame for everything that goes wrong on th DJ.
  15. June ish 1976.
