John Anderson's Soul Junction Does It Again, Hopkins Bros
This will be bootlegged just as quick as any cd, surely you are not that naive Dean.

John Anderson's Soul Junction Does It Again, Hopkins Bros
No it isn't, the records are there to be discovered and it is bloody hard work getting the mainly oldies crowd to listen to newies let alone dance to them.

Lp/12" Flight Case
Cheers Martin and Nev, if not sorted next time up North East Nev I might take you up on that offer. And Martin the case is for me Modern LP's, mainly 80's stuff

John Anderson's Soul Junction Does It Again, Hopkins Bros
Yes but as I said Pete/Mart records back then were plentiful. Today is totally different. Like I said a CD Comp or a CD Single would have been far better, probably cheaper to produce.

John Anderson's Soul Junction Does It Again, Hopkins Bros
If a CD compilation not the Hopkins Brothers material wasn't possible then due to licensing issues then why not a CD single of these two tracks, or a CD EP type release with purely Hopkins Brothers owned material? This would have gone some way to lessen the impact on the already struggling Rare Soul/All-nigeter (call it what you like) scene! Now every Tom Dick and Harry DJ will feel they have a legitimate right to play this track up and down the country, a track they haven't travelled to support not only the record itself but the hard work the likes of Butch and Andy Dyson put in sourcing records like this. It takes years to break a record, Tommy and the Derby's took over 15 to crack, by and large they take 3 to 5 years then others with no vested interest in the scene come along to line their pockets on the back of others. There are ways to do this to satisfy (if that is the right word) all parties. We know full well unless the artist owns the track outright, the licensing etc then they will make sweet FA, not even enough to pay the weekly groceries. If they are lucky enough to own the license then they might get a small 4 figure sum which won't last long.

Twisted Wheel, For Sale?
I'm pretty sure the Central 1179 book has been re-printed Carms, late last year. Great book it is too, wish I could get a kindle version.

Twisted Wheel, For Sale?
You are sounding just as bad as those you are slagging off, give it a rest please. Any more off topic and it will be removed.

Kam 300 Record Flight Case - Handle Fix.....best Glue?
if it was me I would use a proper nut and bolt or something like, lot of weight in 300 records and a long way down to the floor if the handle ever comes off whilst carrying...hate to think any would get broken.

Kam 300 Record Flight Case - Handle Fix.....best Glue?
The handle went on the box I made in the 80's a year or so ago. I got a new handle from a site that does flight case spares. Can't remember the exact site but plenty out there do spares.... here's one.... https://flightcasehardware.co.uk/

Twisted Wheel, For Sale?
Not sure why some have to come on here knocking the efforts of some to save the place? If have no interest then simply read something else.

Twisted Wheel, For Sale?
I used to love the Wheel back in the 80's and 90's but then it was a progressive venue with top DJ's of the time. Guess some don't want to keep looking back. Will the new hotel not have a function room where it can continue? I know it won't be the same but what is today?

The Commands
Looks better with the red vinyl. And as others said O'Jays doesn't come close to the Commands.

Dede Schwartz
Both Private Stock and RCA releases from the same year I think, 1975.

Magnetics - Lady In Green
What is off topic? It might not be a price in every reply but it is mostly relevant. Terry's third post "rumoured to be the Volumes" opened the discussion up and what followed was pretty much relevant and plenty of knowledge in there that is of use to many.

Taxman To Hit Ebay Sellers
Taxman been on to ebayers some time and eBay introducing shops will make it easier for the taxman to trace those who do more than just sell a few bits on the side.

Skiing In The Snow.. How Long Did It Last
How can you compare The Invitations and Grey Imprint? Both are all-nighter records but of different eras, one would be out of place on today's all-nighter scene just as much as the other would have been out of place on the nighter scene back then. Neither can I imagine any youth club today playing Ski-ing In The Snow? Oh and the Wigans Ovation was just an opportunity for some to exploit the scene in the pursuit of cash.
