  1. exactly, it would be too late to alter you snipe as well. But if you bid normally $43.88 ebay would tell you your bid wasn't high enough and to enter whatever amount or more.
  2. well I've just looked at one with 4 bids. Under the bid now box it says the minimum bid, that's without even entering an amount. on this one it tells you $44.00 or more so why would you bid $43.88 for instance?
  3. A snipe bid isn't placed until a second or two to go and a snipe is only good enough if high enough.
  4. doesn't ebay tell you the minimum bid to enter? I also thought it told you your bid wasn't high enough or (un)successful.
  5. If it was a tenner I doubt anyone would bother with it, very average.
  6. Great stuff, thanks for sharing I've seen him do the impressions before.
  7. both clash with Cleethorpes don't they, London the Friday, Manchester on Saturday.
  8. Thought I was losing a few more marbles there Arthur. Didn't think you had one.
  9. I know, Mark's already been mentioned. I was referring to the fact that 3 others at lifeline could have played it.
  10. I should pay more attention :-) Three of Lifeline's residents have the record.
  11. Andy/Rob Thomas had it but think Rod's the first. Sure both will read this so can give the facts.

Not saying you was wrong simply pointing out the 100 quid difference in just 3 copies and why popsike can be and is more often than not too inconsistent. Quick search on here would have shown the copy that was up for sale last month for £85.
  13. Has Arthur got one? Can't remember! Mick H has one.

I don't claim to be anything Moldie but if I couldn't give a realistic answer I wouldn't bother. Your link just goes to prove how unreliable popsike is. There was a UK demo on here for £85 last month. US £30/£40.

    so that's anywhere between £17 and £112
  16. Never seen one Roger, not even a sniff of one, and don't know anyone who has.

They also wrote the Likely Lads and Porridge. But they have a great story already and as the article in link says as long as they stick to the facts they can't go wrong. They don't need to make anything up, plenty in Cooke's life to make a bloody good film.
  18. Hurry Don't Linger and Come On Back, (two previous releases) was 1968. I'd assume this one same year or early 69.
  19. Nice one Godz
  20. We have the blurb, the title, now all we need is the artist.....who is it?
  21. Again as for never being a £150/£200 record, two years ago on ebay $358. Other price of $208 in 2006, $319 in 2007 & $598 in 2008. Popsike you only have to look at plenty of records and you can see there is no consistency in the prices. When bidding on records you can take all leave of your senses, done it myself (luckily I finished up losing) as I bet have many of you who use ebay. I try and stick to set sales these days.
  22. Plenty of examples on auctions, not just JM, of too many with either too much money or no sense...or both. It is their money at the end of the day but it does f--k it up for other collectors who want a particular record at a sensible price.
  23. it is about but no demand, mainly for the reason Pete says, too stop start. Had one in box for ages with little or even no interest in it. I'll have to check to see if it is still in there. Manship books it at £75. Craig Moerer has a vg one at $60.
  24. I remember seeing this for less than a ton, then around £150, inside the last ten years as well. Then when one was sold for I think £400 two or three years ago most were shaking their heads and shouting "fools".
  25. Bout £40 I think.
