Its worth more than that IMHO. There's only two on popsike, one $170 or so (2004) and on just over a £100 (2007). Forget what I paid for mine, that was off ebay but wasn't either these two I mention. There is another version but it's poor in comparison IMHO, search for the title there's a topic on here couple of months ago. I didn't know of the other version at the time.
  2. I got on there and got 'em to play ok. Still looking for the hottest northern soul records though and to be honest there's nothing that probably isn't on here already.
  3. I gave it some spins at early Lifelines as well. Think everyone I've seen have labels reversed.
  4. sounds like his unissued Mayfield Singers.

your right Terry we do have the right to complain or moan through these forums but all too often it gets personal and again more often than not it goes beyond a moan. IMO that can do more to put people off what someone is in favour of rather than encourage. Again we do know who the dodgy f*ckers are but all to often they are left alone to continue doing what they do, god knows why, down the town they'd have a good f*cking hiding

my comment wasn't a reflection on everyone as you probably know but far too often I've gone to an across the board venue and it's far from it, basically as I described above.

I know this topic about Beds/Herts but the same can be said about any region in the country, too many venues, too many promoters who's only interest is in themselves and what they do and not the bigger picture and too many so called DJ's who who contribute little to the scene other than play the same records you can hear from too many other likeminded DJ's. They spend a few quid and think they have a right to be a DJ, can't get a set anywhere else so they put on their own night. Have a word with a like minded person who is doing the same 20 miles down the road, you scratch my back I'll scratch yours. You end up with the same DJ's going round in circles playing the same records over and over Too many who just cause they spend money and are talked about think they are a good DJ and too many promoters taken in by it. I agree the scene is reaching saturation point, I've said it myself for years, but there are too many ego's, too many who's interest is only in themselves and what they do for anything major to happen on the scene. Too much shit stirring, mud flinging and back stabbing, too many fall outs. Too many digs at others, too many more interested in what someone else is doing rather than getting on with their own life, too many who's idea of a good time is spoiling it for someone else. All this combined is ruining a great scene!

I see across the board advertised and I immediately think oldies with a bit of Angie Stone or Drizabone
  9. red is the first as far as I'm aware.
  10. thats three copies now from the same family who had other two all decent nick......worried about people not believing him???? Don't think he'll have to worry anymore If I had a pile of records and two have just sold for something like $15000 I think I'd look down the pile or go through the boxes a bit quicker
  11. and wasn't Mark Bicknell selling a Vince Apollo on here cheaper a while back, if I remember rightly he couldn't sell it.
  12. Andy Dyson listed it for I think £400 around 18 months ago whilst others were paying considerably more at the time.
  13. cheers but want the full clip.
  14. apparently according to JM's guide the runout groove is pitted on the boot and the credits aren't as sharp as a proper one.
  15. you can't use the word bootleg on ebay and surely everyone knows what a second issue was when used in the same instance of this?
  16. anyone got a decent quality soundfile?
  17. Bloody hell, Army life easier than I imagined by the sounds of it I've been to Middleton quite a few times, Dj'ed there a few times as well and I know all the Dj's there as well just not been lately.

  21. the songs got everything you'd want in a Northern Soul record, lyrics, vocals and it's a great dancer.
