  1. I understood or heard it was unissued Brunswick, wasn't sure though, cheers for clearing that up.
  2. Definately a spin for Guy and unissued. Anyone know where this track originates?

Depends what you call a sensible price. Don't see it anywhere near as often as you did couple of years ago, was around a £1000 give or take the odd 100 or so then.
  4. Ey up Tats mate, I'm good thanks, hope you are I don't think I've heard the accapella take...wow!! Would love to hear it, hope you sort the techie stuff soon. If you need any help give me a shout. Take care and see you soon hopefully.
  5. there's quite a few instrumentals and acapella versions knocking about. Is this totally different as in not heard before Andy? Any clues as to why to think it could be Shrine?

My pleasure. If you use ebay a lot it's an excellent tool if you ask me. Either sits in your system tray when you close it or leave it open.

If your busy or need constant reminders of what your watching etc could be a handy tool...... https://desktop.ebay.com Need to download and install the adobe air platfrom first but instructions and links are there, easy to follow etc. If your alos busy with flickr, facebook, various IM's etc and you use firefox then try the Yoono add-on. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1833
  8. the one on the flip to the original acetate definately has a full instrumental take, as I said slightly quicker than the vocal take, just some backing from Little Ann and some male backing 2nd half of the take. If I get the chance I'll download your podcast and listen.
  9. is there any singing in the Little Ann at all? On the flip to Gilly's acetate, the one he found with Tats when it was discovered who "Rose Valentine" actually was there is about a 40 second instrumental take, then a full take thats instrumental with the odd ooh aahh and then Little Ann singing Will I Ever See Him, Please Tell Me What To Do, When He's Not Around etc in the backing towards the end, bit of male backing too. It's actually slightly quicker than the issued vocal take.
  10. Don't let her give you some of her love. Used to be big spin for Rob many moons ago. I'll post it for you, did come out on the Goldmine Detroit cds, forget the titles off top of me head.
  11. I'm all in favour if done right and instep with the music. it's when someone obviously not up to it or doing tricks and spins for the sake of doing tricks and spins just to look good that it looks out of place
  12. can't remember off top of me head what covered as but was covered by Dean Anderson
  13. must have, soz. It was the 500 that threw me as seen it go for a lot more.
  14. yes reissued on styrene
  15. considering how many records that go for 500 that are no where near as hard as this would have thought more than £500 though Pete, more so two years ago, I've seen it sell for more than 500 .

struggling Kev, can you give us a clue
  20. why would the thread be beneath me? you asked if it's been played and if it would go down well in northern sets, you got an answer. I agree with you fantastic record
  21. I never said you didn't or wouldn't like the music, just it wouldn't be what you are used to hearing when out and about. I agree with your last comment, I pick the venues I go to now for several reasons and when I do go out I don't really want to be disappointed with tired music policies, half empty venues cause of the number of venues within an hours drive etc. Hope to see you at Sean's venue when it does finally go ahead.
  22. It's been played in "northern" sets for years, lots as already said.
  23. You said "I would be interested in this depending what this something different actually will be", Going by what you say on SS in lookbacks, your blog etc, I doubt you go anywhere that will play what any of Sean's promotions in the past have played, i.e. Pitches, which truly were across the board, all era's, 60's to the present day, and by that I don't mean the ones that acceptable to the northern crowd cause they sound northern. You only have to look at his playlist from Friday to tell you it will be different, not what you usually get in the midlands, including Pilsley. His signature says on the edge of South Yorkshire/Derbyshire, so a clue there, but no date yet.
  24. It maybe too across the board for you, I doubt there's anything like it in the area if its anything like what Sean has done in the past Anyone who knows Sean's taste and anyone who went to Pitches for instance will tell you that you will be in for something different. Sean is not the kind of promoter to do what is already on offer at the clubs in the area.
  25. Yes it has since your initial post thanks to Mark. Having read the topic in question I would agree with you that it will offer nothing that is already on offer at plenty of venues in the East Midlands. Anyone with half a brain cell who attends venues in any area will know by the dj's what is gonna be on offer. The only event on the horizon in that particular area that will offer something different is the one that Sean Hampsey will be promoting. That will be truly across the board, unlike the northern 70's oldies that masquerade as across the board, it will offer something different.
