  1. Theres a dancer on Whip by him called She's The One, pretty good track. Think there's a couple of others on Montelle Michelle as wel by him. Will double check later....work in a minute.
  2. been playing this a while now in my sets, been going down great. Try Andy Dyson he had one dunno if he's still got it.
  3. Yeah great night Adam, truly a performance to remember IMHO. Took some 200 photos Deffo say hello at Yarmouth, looking forward to it mate. Mike, you missed a good one.
  4. I thought they sold pretty well Sean
  5. added a few photo from the Frobisher on 25 March >>HERE<< if anyones interested.
  6. they came from that tall lanky **** Gavin who on the quiet recorded some sets at the rocket. Others then passed copies on. They shouldn''t be posted on a public forum as they were done without the owners permission IMHO.
  7. They all came from Andy and yes Andy still has his.
  8. Blue Since I lost My Baby with My World on the flip. Saw what I believe was Pat's old copy with Jerry Cook written on the label I think last year sometime. Only on the acetate as far as I know with no issue.
  9. Agree with you Russ with the if they are good enough comment. However not all promoters book quality, many dj's get sets because of who they know and not how good they are All the dj's that make me want to travel have been around years and I don't see anyone good enough coming through to move them over.
  10. Saw one last week for £30. Last "School Boy" one was £50 although not seen one for a while now. Well worth picking up
  11. I'd say the £60 is more like "about right" in the real world However in the strange world of northern soul, for some strange reason most want to pay about in the £100's for a record that doesn't appear to be that hard to pick up, plenty of copies seem to be about for sale
  12. I used to play this in my sets in the 80's. When I started collecting again I bought it to again as I'd not really heard it out since then and I still give it the odd spin now, had quite a few come and look and ask about it. There is a slightly rarer release credited to Emorise "Schoolboy" Kelly (think it's schoolboy ). Excellent record

Syl Johnson and Jackie Ross @ the Frobisher
  14. I've playing "SSG" for a while now as well as the other side
  15. Which side is everyone chasing? One I've been spinning I Found True Love or t'other side? One of the best double siders ever If I had it for sale it would be £300

re: JM there's two different versions with different breaks, one with the group harmonizing in the break and on e with JM doing the wailing bit. Approx 1.45 secs in. Del-larks dunno mate, I've got one somewhere I think but which tape/cd I dunno off hand.

Is this wailing you refer to about 1min 45 secs in, the group wailing during the break? The alternate take has Johnny Maestro wailing.

If memory serves me correctly wasn't the alternate take on a Kent lp

No, Deffo not the £750 it went for in recent years but £200 bit low IMHO. I'll stick with the about £500 I said Anyone else
  23. Can't get Sky no more, cancelled subs. Is this the movie that was on Hallmark few years ago? I picked two up for 97p from Tescos in the recent book/cd/dvd sale they just had
