I'd agree with Pete as I've seen many more plain yellow with the address copies than the one with lines.
  2. I bet you bribed some punters to ask for them too
  3. Combinations is fantastic...and fast one of the slowest...Don & Juan - Heartbreaking Truth - Mala
  4. one of the fastest...CODs - She's Fire.
  5. quite a few dinasaurs still on the scene
  6. I would personally say both Labeat rarer. Seen far more Palmer over the years than either LaBeat. After all Palmer was the label for national distribution.
  7. It's a boot......
  8. This is what Dave Thorley had to say.... Both discs from John Anderson....One disc had "win you over" on one side and "Baby what has happen" on the other, some that one was correct. The other had "all of my life" and a nice slow track on the other side, which did sound like the Ringleaders. But both disc's where blank 10" with writing on the sleeves crediting them both to the Ringleaders. When I sold most of my sixties stuff at the end of Stafford these went back to John, he tells me that he then sold them to some guy in Kings Lynn. When I saw the CD I was just as confused as you. In a recent conversation with John Pugh, He said that the Four Temples where in fact the Ringleaders and this had been their previous name.
  9. thats the second issue quite a few of those over the years, far rarer on Labeat IMO.
  10. Couple of George Pepps for sale recently, still only smalol handful though. Mr. Souyl few turned up over the years as well, still very rare. How about.... Swans - Nitty Gritty City - Dore Milton James - My Lonely Feeling - Dore June Jackson - You're Welcome - Musette Kell Osbourne - Law Against A Heartbreaker - Highland E. Williams - Trade My Soul - Tide Little Johnny Hamilton - Keep On Moving - Dore Little John - Just Wait And See - Go Gate Junior McCants - Try Me For Your New Love - King

I can't believe anyone would spend so much money on a record in this condition unless it was either to dj with or for the "I've got..." bragging rights. Personally wouldn't buy for either. I like to be able to see what I own as well as be able to listen
  12. There is a rare original yellow press of this record. The one Flanny has is stamped and like Ged says he would never knowingly sell as an original if he knew otherwise, Flanny is as honest as they come!. It was shown at Lowton to several and opinion was divided. I didn't think it was a real one, it was too thin for my liking and like Roger Banks mentioned a different shade of yellow.
  13. Really..same record? Only handful of copies most in the hands of dj's and can't think of one who would put it on a cd?
  14. Would have thought Don Gardner well into double figures.
  15. JJ Jackson cover up of Butch's, more recently from Andy Dyson, is IMO as good a Northern Soul record as it gets. Butch had it some years and took some getting going but this will be remembered as a Northern Soul classic IMHO
  16. Utmost you should be able to get for about £50 if you look around, have seen it for this in recent times too, bit more as well Explosive Dynamiks will cost you a lot more

Not particularly...why? It's white and sounds it too...just like the Oxford Nights Not saying I don't like anything thats sung by a white artist, far from it but both Nicky C and Oxford Nights are just not very good They should be left to the beach scene IMHO

Elvis has sung far far better records than this crock o'shite
  19. Got to go to work Stevie, back Friday then away for the weekend, will post ten I'm spinning when I get back mate
  20. don't worry Trev, Andy's let nothing slip......just an alternate cover up name

Personally can't stand the record, people should save their money and buy some proper soul records Killer beach The group want taking on the beach and killing for recording this
  22. Bit of an oldie I would have thought, I spun it the odd time few years ago, but sure this had spins some years ago, another by her on the same label, You Better Tell Him No is also worth picking up.
  23. Eric Lomas cover up getting a bit over played now IMO, well it has for a while, 6 or 7 playing it on a regular basis. Two tops tunes for me are Butch's Masqueraders and Sherri Taylor - It's Beautiful cover ups. The Rita and Tiaras cover up for both Andy Dyson and Butch and Andy's Johnny Sayles cover up....just a few for that will take some beating on the nighter scene .
