What Do You Think Of This Guys 'n Gals?
You're right Trevski, Patti Hamilton is Patti from the Lovelites. Decent record, all being well will be at the Wilton to listen to it and others from you.

Beside Aretha Franklin
You forgot to mention Patti Austin Listen to her Coral output. As a mere 15/16 year old she is up there with the best. She is the best IMO, better than any you mention. As for todays singers competing with those from years gone by, well I hardly listen to todays music so can't really compare.

I used to spin this around '87/'88 as did one or two others. Been around the £50 mark forever it seems. As already mentioned more a tape collectors item as it never really took off.- The Inmate-this Is The Day
You don't like it Christian, well that does surprise me- Song Of The Weekend
Maybe.... TRC 981 Bobby Joy You Sweet Devil You Letter From A Soldier Mark will no doubt say what it was when he reads this.- Song Of The Weekend
Was definately played at Sheridans, deffo a dancer just can't remember chorus right now to describe, brain not functioning properly- Song Of The Weekend
Butch's Masqueraders cover up "You gotta pay now" or something similiar, gets better every time I hear it.- Mick Farrer
Something I've never thought of Brett. I would have thought the majority of records got little or no airplay at all when first released and our DJ's have probably done more for the records than those over the pond- Mick Farrer
Robin definately played Nina Simone @ Stafford.- Brown Bombers & Soul Partners - Wait For Me
Dee & Joe on Jubilee, same backing??? Got it somewhere will dig it out later.- Garrison Records
The listing I have has the same details missing- The Inmate-this Is The Day
Not sure if this maybe got spins earlier though? late Wigan? - Willie And The Handclaps Veep
