  1. Even on it's not so good nights the music at the Wilton is better than most nighters, only the Lifeline better IMHO. As for the decor f*** me, try looking round some of the places where they hold Northern Soul events, I bet most wish they had a venue like the Wilton. The policy is still the same and I'm sure no one will attempt to change it. As for Modern....been played on many other occasions so why should the last one be any different? Dave....The Carlton Club....brings back memories. DJ'ed there quite a few times for Mouse and Chris way back when......
  2. It does indeed sound far better when played out loud, i fact totally different record if you follow my drift. Had great dance floor reaction for Carl and now the same for me also. Its a long one too, clocks in at 4 minutes 14 seconds I think. Apparently the group are Vietnam vets.
  3. Originals on both styrene and vinyl.
  4. Not off hand Eddie. We left not long after Andy's set to go to Sheridans so didn't catch all Guys set.
  5. Pete Lawson reviewed this in his Magazine sometime in the 80's. Was played years prior to this too so I'm led to believe. Record is from 1973 too...Big Dee Irwin.

Very true...there's 100's of records from the Stafford/80's era waiting to be rediscovered by the returnees of the mid 90's on. Same can be said for lesser known or forgotten Wigan/Torch etc records by those not there.

Tough one as virtually impossible to find one for sale....£3000? There was at least one in the west coast haul I think.

Memories???? Can't remember last night let alone years gone by Seriously tho'.....the music Brett. I grew up in the very progressive period of the 80's. Never had a break as such and always look forward. The scene these days though with a few exceptions is very much like the rock and roll scene, stale and stagnant with too many backward looking venues
