It's an LP ful of Charay stuff isn't it? Not sure of the label but it is cheap, or was. Anyone got a soundfile of the Cressa Watson to compare...mine sound s very much like Martha. Know Ady Croasdell been playing the Martha version for a few years. Kenny Burell playing the Ward Burton one. -

Lifeline and Soultown Soul Clubs combine forces to present New Years Eve All-nighter @ Sheridans, Huddersfield Road, Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury (M62 Jnc 25 - M1 Jnc 40) Bringing you TEN top DJs to see in the New Year. Representing the Lifeline Soul Club will be Andy Dyson, Mick H, Tim Brown, Arthur Fenn&Chalky and for Soultown Soul Club we have Carl Willingham, Rob Thomas, Mark Bicknall, Paul Sadot&Andy McCabe. A feast of quality Soul is guaranteed. The night will start at 10pm and finish the next morning sometime ;-) There will be 200 tickets only for this night and they will be priced £15. Feedback about the night has been excellent and fully expect tickets to go quickly. Hopefully they will be on sale at the LifeLine All-nighter October 16th. Can those who want tickets get them as soon as possible. No tickets will be saved on the door..they must be purchased before December the 18th. Weve all worked hard all year promoting both nights (Lifeline and Soultown niters) and dont want to work on New Years Eve...we just want to collect the tickets on the door and party with the rest of you! :-) Tickets will be on sale at Fleetwood from Andy McCabe (who will deffo be there) and Andy Dyson, Mick H and myself (if we make it :-) ). Mick, Andy and myself will be at Lowton and we will all be at various events in the next few weeks. Think Jamie hit the nail on the head. Majors could probably afford to dump a record rather than promote it and their A&R list would be pretty extensive and would probably push the "hot" act of the minute whilst others got pushed to one side. If they achieved little radio play and didn't hit locally then they were probably shelved. Many great vocal performances though that I'd rate highly but I'd go for the Roy Hamilton who I can't believe hasn't been mentioned...then Jackie Wilson.

I would be very sceptical about buying any copy from the States. £900 a joke IMO. With the number of copies about it must be down to £300 tops???? maybe less cause no one knows how many copies out there.

Sure it went for more than £650 Not 100% but he may have listed it for £800. Know couple of others who listed it for that price.

But it's no longer a guide for many, it's treated as the starting point for many dealers, both over here and in the States...when selling on e-bay some dealers mention the fact that it's listed in JM guide.

Had one on Andy Dysons list earlier this month at £80 for ex+ copy. Have seen it go for up to £150 which a bit pricy IMO.
Calafornia Rock Choir is on ebay with about an hour to go.
I've seen the Manship ones, didn't realise he had quantity tho and assumed they were all the same copy that he couldn't sell
I know a box of 25 found. Thought these had all gone tho'. Dunno Were the ones offered from same source?
Diane Lewis...Mmmmm superb dancer. His JJ Jackson cover up has the same effect. Andy Dyson picked one up and more recently Mick H and seems to be finally taking it's place as a dance floor fave. Got the Just Brothers somewhere on a Butch live @ 100 Club cd. Like you say hits the spot.
