There seems to be no pattern to it these days, Freinds of mine Reg Yogi & Chris run SOS in Hemel....No Big name DJs....But they can still get 160 plus in....& Sean Chapman was telling me of a do that he was guesting @ last year had just 22 people in.... Jon Buck

Yes I saw Curtis Mayfield @ Dingwalls he was very very good & in a small club like that.... it was just before they knocked Dingwalls down & rebuilt it....I saw Jackie Wilson @ Wigan 14th June 1975, sadly he wasn't on top form & think it was one of the last performances he did before he slipped away.... Yes good point James Trouble does pretty well @ getting new blood on the scene, & as for Local Piss Heads @ Allnighters & Soul Nights....Do what we do @ RSG & Pete Kelross & Dereck Mead does @ Bisley.... Get a Venue Miles from any where, then you only get the people in that really want to be there....admittedly avoiding Town Centres has it draw backs, but @ least you get the right people in.... You'll do well here, Top Venue....We stopped doing do's here in about 1990-1 The Brewery @ the time decided to turn the venue into a small theatre, therefore bringing to an end the successfull nights that we used to do there, Good Luck Keep @ It Jon Buck

I'm feeling a little older then That patch is on my wall with a signed photo of Chuck Jackson, spent the day with him Satuirday watching him rehearse etc, amazing stuff. Probably my fave weekender Yarmouth, some superb acts on there Yes Yarmouth was good, The Northern Soul Weekenders & The Magic of Motown Weekenders, I am quite proud to have been part of putting them together, My best memories was spending one afternoon in Yarmouth town & having a meal etc with H.B.Barnum, but that's a story to be told another time....
