Anyone got a contact address or e-mail for Steve Wilson from Mansfield. Used to live on the Ladybrook Estate, just off Pye Avenue, but that was ages ago. Used to go to QEGS. Thanks

Zenobia Bonner - "all Alone" (accident)
Found the article. A bit of a Q&A section with a number of dj's. Article is from May 2004 "Record Collector". Bit sad i could remember it really! At that time Alan Handscombe (Capitol Soul Club) list the Zenobia Bonner track as his rarest record adding "It's the only known copy..." Sorry not much more info Gaz

Zenobia Bonner - "all Alone" (accident)
I think this was featured in the northern soul feature in "Record Collector" about 12 months back. If it's the label i'm thinking of it has something like "If it's a hit....it's by Accident" on the label. Nipping home for luch today so i'll see if i can find the article.

Northern Cuts Under Alternate Name/pseudonym
End up looking a complete burk here but i'll ask any way, lets face it it won't be the first (or last) time! Not the same Maggie Bell that was lead singer with Stone the Crows is it?

Fee Records
A lot of years ago now i got into label collecting but lost interest and sold off what i considered as fillers a few years later. One of the labels i tried to complete was 70's Detroit label Fee. As i said i let a few things go, if memory serves Floaters/ ADC Band/ Bill Merriweather / Beverley and Duane(?) and kept the well known stuff, or well known at the time. Carol Anderson, Flaming Emeralds, Bobby Franklin. Looking back it's fairly obvious why i kept those three but i also kept Volstair - dancin' (which i think might have been a Mecca play - can anyone confirm) and Leo Lyons - set me up baby. Did the Leo Lyons thing get played anywhere? Can't for the life of me think it did. Fairly sure i got it off the front page of a Soul Bowl list, so couldn't have been that rare at the time. If unfamiliar with the track it's very Flaming Emeralds in style. Any information welcome - Thanks Gary

Sandra Phillips Lp
Pulled an old lp out last night to have a listen to. Sandra Phillips - too many people in one bed. Must have had this about 25 years but havn't played it for a very long time. Absolutely brill! This is the album Joss Stone wished she had made The album is on the UK Special Agent label based in Wakefield. If memory serves me correct they also ran the Hit & Run label. Anybody know the label history or have a discog? Thanks Gary

These for starters: Tangeers - what's the use of trying/ let my heart and soul be free Stienways - my hearts not in it anymore/ you've been leading me on Jack Montgomary - do you believe/ dearly beloved. Worst Ever Motown?
Just a little light relief. Motown are a great label, no argument at all. Let's be honest though they have also put out some real beasts! My entry is: Ray Odis - randy the newspaper boy on VIP! closely followed by "small sad sam" by Bob Kayli. Two truely awful records.
