  1. Couldn't get a fedora to match mate otherwise I would have done . The suit was a royal blue type colour maybe a touch darker. As you say it was the proper poser look. Loved it. Would definitely wear one now as I quite often play out suited and booted. Work in Engineering covered in oil and grease amongst other things so I always make the effort . Glad you not flirting . Steve
  2. Zoot suit was the name . I actually got married in one. Had it made for me by a still good friend ( Billy Gill from Widnes ) who as it happens at the time was a jazz funker who was a self taught tailor. haven't got any pictures luckily for me . Steve
  3. One from this morning in the back garden sunshine. Unfortunately I cant remember its name its some sort of Gorse. Dave over to you mate And yes that is blue sky in Manchester, wish it was red but there you go Steve
  4. The twice I went It was just my normal clobber. Royale brogues. Nice pair of pegs with turnups and a rather loud Hawian shirt. The jazz funketeers at once stage where wearing ex army pants and shirt ( George Clinton) with a belt hanging down after it was fastened. Sandals. Sunglasses. Whistle . Or suits like kid Creole anything really. Steve
  5. Mark. I'm trying to suss out where the picture was taken from. It's obviously the Bethan tower in the back ground and it looks like the radio masts between Ashton and Oldham on the right and the M60 in the front left foreground. Steve

Rob. You say it's gone up in price mate the last few years.. Remember it being something like £80 for years and normally on white demos . Think the last one I saw recently was £150. . I have only just been enlightened regarding the popcorn scene and the demand for this sort of record. Steve

  16. Been going niters since 75. Still go now. Nothing will ever come close to those halcyon days of station road in my opinion but the torch , wheel, Stafford, Keele, Rugby where ever you went first people will say the same. I've seen this scene evolve more than most from the 70.s through the 80, s and 90,s when you where lucky to get 1 niter a month plus soul nights up to today's full calendar. If you want to evolve and take in everything this whole scene has to offer like I have than that's entirely up to you as a individual but whatever route you take just enjoy it for what it is and dont take it to seriously . Ste
