st.ives allnighters
Went to St Ives in the 70's with Shaun Chambers and Kojac plus about 8 others from the Burton area, in a mini bus someone hired. As said, a burger to get to but once there, what a night, however a pit lamp would have been useful in the Oldies room as couldn't see a thing, also remember Chic around that time too.

Comedy Sale Of The Day
Agree with that, loved the bit with the handbags (as did my kids)

Comedy Sale Of The Day
Mickey Lee Lane was issued on Swan, and there was an iffy issue on ITZY, also Sounds of Lane came out on Cobblestone and ITZY. I always thought the ITZY one's were boots, although I think it is also a legit label.

Losing The Plot
Was looking for a copy of this on MFP when I first heard the track played out. Didn't take long to find one at a car boot for 50p, only to find I had already got a copy on the RCA issued greatest hits, and had it for quite a while too. Just goes to show, check those record boxes.

That One Track That Will Lure You To The Dance Floor Regardless
What a great tune, not heard it in years, got a copy as well. Was covered up originally, was it Casanova Twins? Also like the original version (I think) by Fred Hughes, don't know the label though. [not think I like it, but think FH is the original] Regards

Comedy Sale Of The Day

" Thats A Funny Way " - Unreleased Motown
Have this on cassette (how old is that?) that someone did for Jonah (Rob Gray and myself had copies as well) so it would probably have been 91/2 or slightly earlier. Bob

Larry Santos, you got me where you want me, and Ace Spectrum, don't send nobody else, both have extended versions on the LP's.

Northern Soul Monster Tempests Someday (On Stardust)
I have a rather dodgy looking test press of Howard Gayton on a Stardust test press, I say dodgy because the label although hand written is rough around the edges and not very professional (unless its meant to be that way). Bob

Northern Soul Monster Tempests Someday (On Stardust)
Looks like five people were bidding for it, and the winner placed their bid (at least £159 and probably more) at least seven days before the end (10 day listing) so was obviously determined to get it at any cost. That's the price some are prepared to pay I suppose. What can you say but "THE STRANGE WORLD OF NORTHERN SOUL" Regards Bob

Little Charles
Wanted Little Charles & Sidewinders - Talkin' About You Babe PM price and condition if you have a copy available Regards

Northern Soul Monster Tempests Someday (On Stardust)

Northern Soul Monster Tempests Someday (On Stardust)
I know this is covered regularly but just seen this on EBAY currently selling at £60 with 2days and 23hours to go. The record is described as "The ONLY way to own on a single , now long deleted , one of the rarest stardust issues" Surely cant be that rare or command such money realisticly, and who buys these at these prices? Any thoughts? TOTP

That One Track That Will Lure You To The Dance Floor Regardless
Heard this played immediately after George Freeman "Down and Out", both sounded brilliant and totally complemented each other. By the way the dance floor was rammed. Bob

Uk Customs Service... Question
As far as I am aware if excise duty (tax) is payable for release and it is not paid, the parcel will be returned to sender and then you will have to retrieve your payment (less postage). If the parcel has been sent from America, the sellers don't usually declare the value of the contents (and no tax is incurred), however, due to claims being made for damaged/lost items, some sellers are covering themselves by putting the actual selling price as the value and therefore are able to claim their monies back if a claim is made (if a nominal value is not shown it is difficult for the seller to claim a refund). Hope this helps. Bob

That One Track That Will Lure You To The Dance Floor Regardless
Too many to mention as I (like you) love em all, however, three at the moment would be, not in any particular order: Candi Staton - Now You Got The Upper Hand Ila Vann - You Made Me This Way Archie Bell & Drells - Here I Go Again Agree with Dave2 with Mighty Marvellos, as good as the Nomads or Soul Set but at an affordable price. Regards Bob

Superlatives - I Still Love You
What about this one that's currently on ebay, does this look like an original or not?
