  5. Went to one of the big record fairs in Manchester and John Anderson was there with a small box of goodies including a Chuck Cockerham at £500, I thought he'll never sell it at that price, I'll see if he will take 5, £100 instalments from my credit card over 5 months..............next person in the box whipped it out and (i think) paid cash Pisser was I had the cash but it would have cleaned me out, ended up going home with a couple of cheapies and a foul mood!! Blake

  11. I remember buying this blind from the record stall at Shude hill in Manchester well over thirty years ago, it wasn't where I was at musically and got filed away and I must have sold it somewhere (probably Yarmouth) over the years. I heard it again about a month ago, realised what a good record it is and had to get one, but can I locate a copy.........'er no, so its over to the good people of Soul Source for your help. I think I'm right in saying (correct me if I'm wrong) this is UK only. Always have bits for trade so can anyone help? Blake

Dont know if Rookie Ricardo's shop is still on the go but if it is check it out. I will always remember him demonstrating all the 60s dance crazes to various records in the shop whilst punters were browsing the racks! Came away with a few goodies as well. BH

  18. Ian, the best sales list (book!) ever was your Vinyl Junkie list many moons ago, it was rammed with great records many of which were to yet have there day, we are talking pre-crossover days here! So please if you are serious:yes: , take some time off and give us volume two............but drop the uber complicated discount system from the first book:yes: Blake
  19. I found this letter recently, it was sent to my mother in 1962 for two Caruso 78s she sold, sound familiar? I bet Tony Rounce knew/went to this place:D , only kidding Tone. Blake
  20. You cynical old Hector........ Its neither John, I was really surprised by the £500 price tag and thought it would make an interesting topic! It seems to have either been sold or pulled from the site which quoted something like "only 2 copies on these shores" which I was surprised at! As Sean says a toughie, but in quality worth every penny. BH PS. not changed your mind about Bilbao?
  21. Thats five and counting.............anyone?
  22. OK, there's a copy on a well known site for £500, is this 45 really that rare? I remember Kev Briscoe locating a handful in the US a few years back and its not seen for sale very often, so whats the informed opinion on the rarity of this 45? As ever Blake
  23. No thanks Tony, trying to sell the one I have, as someone took the bidding up to £78 someone else must have missed out. Just saw an opportunity to catch the losing bidder. Not a rare patch at all but if they are realising that sort of money why not? Thanks anyway Blake
  24. Did you bid on the Wigan Casino "End of an era" patch on JMs auction that finished last Wednesday? If you got out bid and would like one I have one that I would part with for a reasonable bid (the one in the auction which was unused went for £78!! The difference with my patch is that it has actually been inside the casino and if buildings had the equivalent of DNA this patch would contain some! Now there's a frightening thought. Its in good nick but has been attached to a holdall. Drop me a pm if interested Sold now folks, thanks for all the input BH
