  3. Update:- This event has now completely SOLD OUT - there will be no door admissions apart from pre-paid ticket collections - Thankyou again for the great support ! GREAT NEWS !!! We have been trying to bring this night to you since April 2020 and finally we are going to succeed ! Its our normal Northern Soul, Motown and 70's Soul evening with all proceeds to a local SEND Charity - Ruby's Fund, HOWEVER with a big difference, we shall be presenting a LIVE ACT featuring Stephen James as Franki Valli, said to be one of the finest, if the best Franki Valli Tribute act in the UK Before, in between and after the two LIVE act sessions we shall be having the normal Soul Night by local DJS:- Richard Wharfe and Andy Farron, part of DJs Past & Present who present or have in the past two Soul events at Congleton Town Hall for the past decade We advise purchasing tickets ASAP as tickets are going extremely well and attending the venue as early as possible as though we have our normal seating and dance floor arrangements, the LIVE ACT is NOT a sit down event ! OTD Ticket price £ 12.50, advanced early bird tickets ( £10 ) are available from Congleton Tourist Information ( TiC ) -- 01260 271095 New for this event:- an adjacent quiet area to have purchased food as well as drinks The nights schedule should be available early November Any question, please join us on Facebook:- http://www.facebook.com/djspastandpresent We look forward to seeing you

  14. This must be another boot then ?
  15. Well Yes its on a Kent CD from 2012? (Crossover Soul 1975-79 LA Sessions) however was the so called boot pressed before that or booted from the CD ?? That was my question to Ady as Ace are releasing it on '45 this year afaik - it would be so good Ady, if you could issue with "Its no mistake" on the flip please.... :-)
  16. Ive got a near minter but I think I might hold onto it now seeing they are going for over £ 200 now !? Besides Discogs there is three for sale on musicstack....... https://www.musicstack.com/show.cgi?f=1&find=bobby+hutton&media=243&t=piece+of+the+action
  17. Ady, thanks for the update The reason I stated so called boot is that its been pressed prior to any other official release, so where did they boot from ? - btw does someone actually have the rights to this track in any shape or form ?
  18. Ady Any further release details.... as I have the chance of buying the so called Boot atm in mint cond' and hanging off for the Kent 7" ? Thanks

Having said that, based on other countries entries - it could well mean G for Great Britain or simply TMG for the first idea for serialization for the first country outside the US...... as Canada tended to follow the US cat markings, then the system was adapted to cover other countries as the Motown sound spread worldwide ; France was - TMEF initially Germany was a mixture of M, TM, GO Spain was M-xxxx Italy was DE xxxx / TM xxxx Australia was TMO-xxxx East Africa was TMSK xxxx Ireland was TMG(I) and so on.........., so could this relate to country of manufacturer perhaps in some way ????

My take on this has always been that these were the three main core labels:- Tamla been the first in '59, Motown in '60 and Gordy in '62. These core labels then either sucked up or created other minor labels like Golden World, Ric-Tic and VIP etc Tamla Motown Records ( TMG ) started in '65, so that would sort of make sense or it always has imo
  24. We all seem to be talking at cross purposes on this thread, LOL Wasnt the thread about the rare version of Salvation ???
