  1. Have to say the charles bradley programme was superb, thanks to the bbc for bringing him to my ears , also i love barry white, no point getting snobby about hearing good soul music, barry white sold millions of records that means he was good at what he did !! also the majestics on linda( i love her so much), yep thats barry singing away plus all the stuff a&r wise on bronco and mustang means the guy had serious pedigree too, a great night on bbc4
  2. i was there last year and saw the sign at a bar " northern soul this sat night", great i thought, got there early, sat down ordered a drink, 45 mins later a man n woman started singing bad covers of 70's 80's country etc, they were called northern soul ??? take an ipod mate !!

Picture this, 15years old, no google back then !! and i'm flicking thru a box, found one i was after, on joker with 2 other tracks on it £3, great i thought, but i knew it was a re press with limited knowledge, however further flicking thru and this appeared for the same price tag £3, oh great i'll have the original then , little did i know it was a soussan masterpiece !! Still ain't got a palmer, or the soul galore anymore !! the joys of being 15 eh !!

  11. Hmmmmm ok on the fence here, i found john to be a very nice guy, but i did bid on a record i wanted, auction finished at 6pm i was the highest bidder, then the auction end time was increased by 5 mins, then again and agian, it ended at 6.20, i lost the bid, i was a touch bemused by it but thats life, as its been quite rightly stated i think john does have a great site and it does very well indeed.
  12. look at the basics here, its a record that took a long time to get big, it is a big floor filler, people like it, i can take it or leave it but, i do play it out if i think it will go down well( its not let me down so far really) is it soul ?? prob not, but then again was javells, footsee or the cherry people any better at wigan ?? i dont think so !!
