  1. 3 for 2 offer on these at the moment... https://www.find-me-a-gift.co.uk/record-album-frame-silver.html
  2. Here's a mock up of something I did for a mate a few years ago. Looks good with the jukebox label and song lyrics.
  3. We've got Uncharted 3 so I'll try and load it on the old machine.
  4. We've got an original PS3 on which I upgraded the hard drive from 60GB to 500GB, and a slim one. Haven't tried any new games on the older model but I'll give it a go and see what happens.
  5. And the new PS4 and X Box One won't be backward compatible.
  6. I think it's a hardware problem more than anything Pete. DVD Players have moved on in the last ten years, and some of the older burners aren't compatible.
  7. HOMOVO - Hired Out My Original Vinyl Only.
  8. In the immortal words of Dave Godin, "We're gonna need a bigger shop." Or was that Roy Scheider?
  9. Rare, as opposed to Medium or Over Played.
  10. Should be listed under Toys and Games as a jigsaw puzzle.
  11. I'm a nostalgic progressive, and I don't own a handbag.
  12. I lost my shirt at a certain casino.
  13. I think there is a third issue, that of too many venues chasing too few customers, therefore many promoters, and indeed their regular customers, will (or is that should) be happy for the additional trade in order to make the venture financially viable. No promoter wants to operate at a loss, and no regular wants to see their local venue close due to lack of support. Inevitably, it will be survival of the fittest, as it always has been, with the best venues keeping their regulars happy whilst welcoming newcomers. With a lot of venues, compromises have to be made as they do not attract the travelling masses. As has been said previously, go to the events that cater for your particular needs, even if it means going further afield. If you're not prepared, or are unable to do that, then you'll just have to accept what you've got.
  14. Don't know, but I'm sure we'll find something.
  15. Hamilton Bohannon, totally synonymous with disco. Posted this one because of the excellent dance tutorial that accompanies it. Enjoy. Disco Stomp.... https://youtu.be/X86qgsDL_4k
  16. There's a similar thread in Freebasing, eloquently entitled " Eff Off Handbaggers".
  17. Give it up for Mr Marvin Gaye.... https://youtu.be/fp7Q1OAzITM
  18. Looks like an angle grinding disc. Probably plays like one.
  19. Guilty pleasure this one.... Mr Day - Soul On Wax https://youtu.be/UEyEiDydnqk
  20. Unissued album, titled "Breaking Through", supposed to include some of the recordings on the Lost and Found CD, was slated for release on Workshop Jazz, as Workshop LP Jazz W217.
  21. 80% without cheating.
  22. I believe youngsters these days are as keen as ever on music, but don't seem to have the attention span or the time to sit down and read music magazines or contribute to forums in a meaningful way. My three kids have a very diverse taste in music. My youngest son recently came back from a trip to Canada with some second hand Jimi Hendrix and Neil Young vinyl albums. My daughter loves Fleetwood Mac and Creedence, whilst my eldest son likes Rap and buys lots of CDs as opposed to downloads.
  23. Nice one Steve. I was on the first row of tables when I wasn't attempting to dance. Always get a friendly welcome in Barrow, but with Cumbria being sparsely populated, we're all related, we all tend to know each other on the soul scene up here.
  24. I was wearing my Avatars on Saturday night!
