Caught this one last night ... not very awe inspiring really but it was the light and shadow that made it .. also big shout out to all those having to deal with the fires in Manchester .

Just got back from a long weekend in Cornwall ... beautiful weather. Stopped off on the way back from Liverpool at the weekend in St Albans and happened to pass a Gallery that was showing a guy called Morgan Howell’s work .. Spoke to him and asked if he’d ever thought of doing a Frank Wilson single .. and he had been asked that question a few times of late .. “ How much for an original piece “ I asked , hoping a may be able to save an buy one ... “£12,000 “ was the answer .. a limited edition print of the original artwork would be a lot cheaper if he ever did one , but he has some nice prints . I went to the first one of these with a guy called Jeremy from North London who’d I met through collecting Subbuteo , long story and I won’t bore you with it , but he turned out to be a good mate of IL ‘s . First time I’d spoken to him since the Highand Room days and was his exuberant self . To be fair , it was a really good night and the place wasn’t a bad venue at all with a great dance floor and quite full. Sadley numbers dropped off and the atmosphere was never quite the same .

Claes Rosen has a habit of altering the pitch and tone of voices , but not 100% sure ... Got lots of play and covered many times , great tune. Check out Luther’s version

I saw Bobby Womack in 2012 with Damon Albarn at the Forum Kentish Town and it was a tale of two halves. Firsr set with the Blur frontman was a little downbeat and foucused on his last album “ The bravest man in the universe “ not great to say the least . But the second set was vintage , vintage music , vintage singing and vintage backing with full band . Truely wonderful . Lets see what happens on Feb .

Looking for a nice clean copy of Lee David “ Temptation is calling my name “ for a mate , whose not on this site . He can’t afford it on Columbia ( neither could I ) so looking for a copy on Ruby . Seems a bit of a hard one to find , any help much appreciated .

Just been given these fully legit e-tickets for tonight’s gig , Both seats are together in the circle - DD46-DD47 ( not bust size 😜) As I’m in London can’t go so wondered if anyone on here wanted them at a reduced price - bargain at £20 each .. He doesn’t come over here that often .. so maybe better than watching City thrash Stoke 👍
