Had a really good weekend in Saffend , what with the sun out and a 4-0 win for my team on Sunday ... but what capped it off was an evening at the Pavillion seeing Jackie Graham - Gwen Dicky and Jocelyn Brown .. Great performances from all ( especially Jackie ) but just wondered does anyone know what accident put Gwen in a wheelchair ? Still got an amazing voice and battling through whatever is happening because of a spinal injury .. And after that Jocelyn had to be brought on stage by two helpers and sat down in a chair , is this just age related ? I know a lot of us are getting on and I've bought a few of those car door atchment handles for mates of late as none of us are getting any younger .. So anyone know anything as I can't find much on line ?

Biggin Hill Air Show ... and who should be there ...👍 That scoot is worth telephone numbers now ... all original TV 200 ... priceless ..

Dylan , Nice.... we went to Falmouth to see Martha Reeves at the Pavillion ... but where camping at Trevedra Farm in Sennen about two miles from Lands End ... been going there since my 20's ... love Cornwall

After the Red Arrows left Falmouth the clouds left their own score on the event 😜 and sunset at Sennen

Fourplay - Union Chapel Bob James - 77 Nathan East - 61 Harvey Mason - 70 and Kirk Whalum - 59 , standing in for the unwell Chuck Loeb . Differnt sound with the guitar of either Chuck or Larry Carlton , but replacing it with a bit of Sax , wow ... hats off ... a great performance

Not Soul - but still a great gig with a true ledgend DJing first off .. D.R. And Damion M. dreads are as long as him ... he says he'll soon be carying them in a rucksack 😀

You are not wrong ... big toss up for me as well but tickets for Erykah where £70 ... and Hammersmith not the greatest of venues for sound ...and had heard some iffy things about Chaka and her performances of late so .... Mavis all the way ...

Thanks to Mavis S. for once again giving us a night to remember and to James Hunter for giving is a touch of Northern .. and also some great tunes played during the interval .. Nice to meet another S-S member at the event .. enjoy your stay in London Martin .

Another great weekend of excellent music with some old favourites and new young talent . "Love Supreme"does it again 👍 and these two new young Londoners are one to watch out for ... keeping Jazz alive with a twist of urban ... great performance .

Just wondered if anyone knew the story behind the miss-spelling of a Hinckley patch ? One made later ? One repro ? The one with the right spelling I know is right as I picked it up at the time ... but the other ... ? Both look and feel original to the eye .. but anyone shed any light on the lack of a "C" ?

I know this will have been asked in some form before , but is there a link , website or book that detailed what the correct sleeve would have been for the correct year release of 45 .. I know some labels never produced a stock cover or just released them in plain sleeves .... but I'm just trying to put together a few of my old original vinyl back in their true sleeves .. Is there a website or would I have to do this listing record by record ... I'm sure with the knowledge of those on here , someone will know 🙏

The Jacksons 50th Anniversary with Kool and the Gang ... Great venue ... beautiful weather .. fantastic music ... didn't think the Jacksons would be that good ... but was blown away how tight and polished they still are .. all 4 remaining Jacksons singing and playing ... Kool and the Gang still bang out " Jungle Boogie - Hollowood Swinging " Great weekend

Great night last night at Union Chaple seeing The Impressions ... who I have to say , where amazing 😉!!!! The harmonies are still as tight as they have ever been and even with a new " younger " lead singer .. they still produce a sound that's just like the original recording ... Also a huge big thank you to Sam and Fred for allowing us back stage after the event , even though both where feeling very tired . 100% Soul - 100% satisfaction... cheers guys !!
