  1. Ordered November 23rd. Arrived today
  2. Just received my final 2 box sets (from Universal) and one is OK, the other has 2 x Barbara McNair's. I called their customer service, they say they are aware of the problem and they have promised to send out the missing sungle (Marvin Gaye).
  3. Phild posted a post in a topic in Record Wants
I still need VG+ or better copies of the following Arctic releases: 104 - Cindy Gibson - Step By Step/Whisper You Love Me Baby 129 - Lane Relations - The Blood Pt1/Pt2 155 - Della Humphrey - Just Like Boys Do/Over The Tracks Please message me if you can help Thanks Phil
  4. Wouldn't matter Paul. You got to speculate to accumulate
  5. Don't see what all the fuss is about. Records should be black, end of. Coloured vinyl should be strictly reserved for all them shite pop tunes from the 70's that came out on coloured vinyl. It's much harder to check condition on anything other than black as well.
  6. Can you ever have too much of either?
  7. Yep. They all came from a find at Bob Mays in Detroit in '91. Me and a mate got the lot, about 300 or so at 3 for a $. We didn't realise there was unreleased stuff until much later. My mate offloaded most of his to Pat.
  8. I don't think it does. Because one of the test presses I have of "Bright City Lights" has the release no on it that was scheduled for Lee Charles. I actually thought it WAS Lee Charles for a long time
  9. I have 2 copies of that too, but I am convinced its Eloise Laws. You may ask why? The reason being that one of them is a double sider with her favourite B Side - "Stay With Me"
  10. I have vinyl (quality control sample) copies of Eloise Laws - Baby Doll, Bright City Lights / Why - Satisfaction Unlimited and a few others not on the above list
  11. They should have bought earlier, or buy one now. I bought one off Amazon, One off here, One off Soulbrother and 3 off Universal
  12. Because I can. One to play, one to keep shrinkwrapped, one in case of emergencies and the others for pressies
  13. here you go .. Mind you it's not put me off as I've just ordered my 6th boxset
  14. Will do. Well I'll take a picture
  15. The only "problem" with this box set is that the labels just don't look good enough IMO. The definition and resolution of the Tamla Motown logo is not as good as it could be. Looks like a repro of a scan of the logo
  16. Me too. Got it off pat for no more than a fiver in about 1986/7
  17. £50-£60 tops surely?
  18. Oh yes. Martha Starr. That one actually got you on the floor
  19. A selection of the tunes I played on Friday, not in order (great little club BTW) Leon Haywood - Baby Reconsider (Fat Fish) The Tiaras - Love's made A Connection (Seton) Danny Monday - Baby Without You (Modern) Robby Lawson - Burning Sensation (Kyser) The Superlatives - I Still Love You (Uptite) The Professionals - That's Why I Love You (Groove City) Brooks Brothers - Looking For A Woman (Tay) Jackie Beavers - I Need My Baby (Revilot) Melvin Davis - Find A Quiet Place (Wheel City) Johnny Rogers - Make A Change (Amon) Stewart Ames - Angelina, Oh Angelina (J & W) Soul Set - Will You Ever Learn (Bi-Me) The Ambassadors - Doctor Love (Arctic) Donna Coleman - Your Love's Too Strong (Avin) Pamela Beatty - Talking Eyes (Tip) Don Gardner - Cheating Kind (Sedgrick) Poets - Wrapped Around Your Finger (J-2) Ernest Moseley - Stubborn Heart (La-Cindy) Jimmie & The Entertainers - New Girl (Toddling Town) Bobby James - I Really Love You (Karol) Tommy Ridgley - My Love Is Getting Stronger (International City) Plus a few more I have forgotten for now. Back there next month with Mr Martyn Bird on December 20th
  20. Johnny Sayles - My Love's A Monster
  21. My 6x6 Motown album wall. using the Find Me A Gift frames
  22. I ordered a load of the Find Me A Gift ones the other week. Just done a 6 x 6 display of UK Tamla Motown albums on my record room wall. Look great
  23. I've got a 70's record (Not ARP pressed) that has a beveled edge,
