I used to play it out a few years back. First niter I played it at was my one and only guest spot at Tony's, Balckburn in December 1996. Phil
  6. I know exactly what you mean Bri
  7. I agree, but it is possible to play Tamla Motown and NOT fall into the predictable trap of same old, same old. A couple that spring to mind are Shortly Long - Out To Get You, Stevie Wonder - Hey Love and The Temptations - Fading Away. Phil

I didn't collect the whole set of albums or 45's in a year, just decided to "complete" the whole set of 45's last year, and album the year before I started buying them about 1978 or so, and had about 60-70%. I'd just never considered completing them before. Previously I'd considered "most" British releases to have less merit or value. Phil
  12. I liked the look of it so much I bought it Phil

I started trying to complete the TMG 45's last year. I've now got from TMG501-799 on first issue with only 2 ommissions - 506 & 514. Anyone want to part with 'em at a reasonable price? Some of the ones I've got i could do with better copies. Namely 507,508, 519, 537, 541, 551 and 564. Again anyone want part with 'em in VG+ or better condition drop me a PM. Also got quite a few of the 800's but can't decide whether to go for them all. The year before I started on the UK albums. I've got all the UK albums that were actually released from 11000 - 11293 in both Mono & Stereo (TML & STML) variants where available, as well as most of the 12000 series too. Phil

  22. It was me .... well up to about 17:59 anyway I really thought I was gonna win it. Anyone got a spare? Phil
  23. My last 5: Vernon Greene - Look At Me, Look At Me - Minit Soulettes - Bring Your Fine Self Home - Scope I'm really made up with this one. It was advertised as having a jump on the "Bring Your Fine Self" side, I bought it (very cheaply) cos the one I already have is rough on the "Let Me Be The One" side. When it arrived I gave it a bit of a clean and it now plays great on both sides Little Dooley - If Ever I Needed You - KoKo Freddie Pride - All My Life - Diamond Jim Claude Huey - Why Would You Blow It - Galaxy Phil
  24. And it will have its first legitimate reissue on our Soul Intention label any time now. It's in production b/w an unrelaesed track from 1969 "The Movement". Full details and soundclips at https://www.soul-intention.co.uk Cheers Phil
