  2. Here's another one of Baz's early doors spins on that wonderful sound system of his and what a brilliant previously un released piece of vinyl it is. Take a bow Al Williams.

  6. Here's one from Tony's list and what a cracker it is. Recorded originally by Tony Owens in 1968, at a slow pace, thankfully The Philharmonics version is more DJ & dancefloor friendly and here it is.
  7. Baz, Don't forget one of Dave's biggest achievements is the SOULFUL KINDA MUSIC magazine that he's been producing since 1989, not forgetting the issue where Culcheth regular Rob Haigh sat on stage at the Lea Hall Manor all-nighter and noted down every single record that was played during the night. I'll never forget seeing Rob trying to peer over Butch's shoulder to see what he was cueing up next. I was half expecting him to try and look under the labels of his cover ups.😂. I think that issue is online somewhere. There'll be nearly a full house of Magnetics monsters in the building on the night, unless one of the DJ's has "Lady in Green" tucked away somewhere to make it a full house. I know they're not all the same groups but It's a nice thought. Here's one of Dave's choices.
  8. Thanks Rob, I'll let Mick know.👌😀
  9. Here's another one for Saturday..
  10. Have you decided which helmet you'll be wearing mate.
  11. This should sound fantastic on Baz's system, fingers crossed Mick it arrives in time eh.😓
  12. He's done it again. Last night Mick recommended a Sonny Til record that Hoss played on Deans show on Thursday and he asked me if I knew it. Bloomin heck what a record, hopefully MH will play it on Saturday.👍
  13. I remember Mick Howard recommending this at the Radcliffe all-nighter and when I mentioned it to Gibby he told me he'd seen more Bobby Hill on the same label than Sam Dees. I Love it.
  14. Sorry boss, but he started it with The Happy Mundeys comment, I couldn't resist it.😒
  15. Stevie, I'm thinking every single sided record one side doesn't play.
  16. Last time I saw Mick play at Ashton he gave this a spin and it caused a bit of a stir on the dancefloor and also in the record bar where 3 geezers tried to figure out who and what it was. We got there in the end, in fact just before the record had finished. What a result, get in.
  17. I was one of the 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE (Saturday all-nighter then a Sunday all-dayer) but now that's all a bit of a BLUR.
  18. Just the one today and what a belter it is. Of the 3 records he released on this label this is by far the rarest. Mr Percolator ~ "I can't get enough" ~ WAX-WEL VG++ £500 includes free Special Delivery If you don't know it take a listen.
  19. Mick, for Ashton last time it was all Oasis references and now it's The Happy Mundeys turn, you'll be telling us BEZ Maleedy is playing Maracas up front and one of the SMITHS is on in the modern room.😂
  20. 3 rare un's for sale, enquiries/reservations via PM UK Sales only Prices includes Special Next Day Delivery 1 Johnny De'Vigne ~ I smell trouble ~ De'Lite Promo EX £600 2 The Firestones ~ Buy now pay later plan/ I just can't wait Moira EX £500 ***SOLD*** 3 Gerald Trotter ~ One more hurt ~ Modo VG+ £450 (Same as Marjorie Black but more gritty) This is the release before the Bob & Gene rarity and like that release isn't the best recording
  21. Rotations,? Major Lance ?
  22. Dave, it looks like somebody put in a bid forgetting the way Tims auction works, what you bid you pay.
  23. Yes Mike it's definitely worth watching. You mentioned apple tv having some good shows, I've just finished Season 1 of Tehran, there's 2 seasons of it. Well recommended spy thriller that's partly subtitled, part dubbed and part English.
  24. This is one of them twofer's that's also dirt cheap, so if you think about it, it's more or less a free record. Simon would call this walking pace northern soul, pitch it up a couple of notches and then it's a brilliant midtempo dancer. If you're wondering what's on t'other side it's the wonderful "Do you believe".
