  1. Tomangoes is one of the best for a while. Love it.

Usual high class mix of music from 60s rarities to new releases at the BAE Club. Busier than in recent months and certainly much hotter. Top venue and always 5 stars from me.
  2. We had tickets to see him in London just before Covid came along. The gig was sadly cancelled. Remember buying the Kent LP Moving On Up in 1984 and listening to this for the first time. Work of a genius. RIP
  3. Proper labour of love. Congrats! Bought the original and the reissue with what was then the new top 100.
  4. Congratulations and well done Mike. Fantastic site that I visit every day!

The long awaited return to Macc Masonic did not disappoint. Very busy from the start and the usual quality mix of high octane 100mph sounds meant the floor was always busy. Stand out tunes for me were Chris Morgan - Who am I and the ever brilliant Edwin Starr- Price of Pain. Credit and top marks to all involved. Roll on September!

Another great night at Layton. Superb venue and great music from start to finish. Highly recommend!

First time at Layton last night. Brilliant venue with a great dance floor that stayed busy all night with top sets from Jim, Tim and guest spinner Derek Smith. 5 stars all the way!
  5. Ike Perry track is wonderful.

First time out for me at this great venue. Brilliant mix of tunes kept the floor busy to the very end. Can’t think of many nights where you can hear Fat Larry’s Center City followed by Chuck Cockerham and Gene Toones. Fantastic records from start to finish ranging from the horrendously rare to new releases including the already in demand Jon Allen and one I didn’t know, but promptly bought by Phillip Ballou ‘We’ll be together’. Certainly be making many return visits!

First time at the Willows. Great friendly little club and a night built on keeping the dance floor busy. None of the DJs disappointed playing great and varied sets. Definitely be back!

Great Saturday night with four rooms playing huge variety of records. The 70s / Modern room was brilliant and buzzing from early doors right up until closing time. Hope this one becomes a fixture in the calendar.
  6. Mine arrived this morning. Superb take on the original. Thanks!
  7. Sean Chapman played it at Macclesfield on Friday. Sounded great over a big system.

What a great night. Sets the standard on what a soul night should be. Resident DJs who know what the regulars want to hear and premier league guests playing some awesome rarities. More please!
  8. Brilliant and unknown to me. Order placed!
  9. Arrived yesterday. One of the best in recent times from Kent.
  10. Likewise many thanks. Arrived this morning. Brilliant and better version in my book.
  11. Love the video after reading the book. Brings it to life superbly.
  12. Just ordered direct from Ace. Sounds like a fantastic compilation.
  13. Was bought the hardback last year. Good read including tales of travelling from London to the the Casino and Mecca. Recommended.
  14. Right up there as one of the best on the label and that’s saying something!
  15. Looks like a brilliant read. Count me in.
