After Wigan Casino closed, these events kept the Northern Soul flag flying high in the North-West with an amazing mix of classic Northern and high-quality Modern Soul sounds. Well my first visit to the MVPs and I wasn't disappointed - great venue and a crowd that are 'up for it', so much so that in the first hour I wondered whether I'd brought the right box with me as everything from class oldies to modern and everything between came flooding out of the speakers; but I think I got away with it 😆 Thanks again to Nigel for inviting me to DJ - we had a thoroughly enjoyable night out
