  1. I bought my original for $10, and got the Swans original for $26, happy days.
  2. A couple of new ones for me this week..... Ophrys sphegodes, the Early Spider Orchid found by chance near Cazorla. Ranunculus gracialis, a white buttercup confined to Sierra Nevada, it's only just emerging and will probably look better in a couple of weeks, but it's a long journey to go back for, and found completely by chance.
  3. What was she made of Steve, sugar and spice and all things nice?
  4. These little piggy's might go to market sometime, but not for a while, they were feeding on the side of the road opposite a restaurant, and didn't stay long.
  5. But sometimes it is blue skies, Cazorla, a couple of days ago. He shares my birthday Peter, and he'll be 4 tomorrow. He's back to full fitness now, and barely a scar.
  6. Happy's first experience of snow.
  7. One just for Steve to show it's not always blue skies.
  8. No problem Steve, as a technophobe I do things that are irreversible all the time. Thankfully not often when I'm tattooing. Taking a trip to Gibraltar today as I'm off to a 50th birthday party later, thought I might lay on some champers. Dave
  9. The exquisite flower of the milk thistle, Silybum marianum. a lovely plant that I used to grow in the herbaceous border because of it's white veined leaves, capable of reaching 1.5m tall.
  10. Hurrah, she's added something to the listing in the way of a disclaimer, let's now hope that the bidders retract their bids wholesale!!
  11. This is the latest message to her after getting the reply below: (sorry for repeated paragraph, laptop won't do as it's told, like the seller) Willow, what you are failing to see is that by offering a record that is sought after by many that appears to be on the correct label without saying that it's original implies that it is an original. Whether you were born in 1995 or not has no consequence, the record is not an original and shouldn't be passed off as one. It has clearly been distressed to appear old, and has photocopied labels to deceive, so in it's description it should inform the bidders that it's not an original. The record is worth about £10, so you should do the honest thing and either end the listing early or edit it to say that it's a bootleg with photocopied labels, it's a matter of honesty. Bytheway, not knowing anything about vinyl and selling under a name like 45-heaven, clearly a ruse to try and be linked with a reputable record dealer, is risible. Dear 45-heaven, Willow, what you are failing to see is that by offering a record that is sought after by many that appears to be on the correct label without saying that it's original implies that it is an original. YOU: Hello, thank you for your email. I am selling all the records on my page for a friend whose relative has died. I am afraid I do not know anything about vinyl records (original or otherwise) I was not born until 1995. I have not written on the description that it is original. Sorry I cannot be of more help. I will tell the buyer your concerns and include a reply paid envelope when I post this record so the buyer can return it for a full refund if s/he is not happy with it. Both my friend and myself are amazed at the amount of the bids on this record. One can download the song from youtube by using the youtube to mp3 website for FREE. Best wishes Willow
  12. I've never noticed anything like it before, but in the bar that is usually occupied by the seller's feedback score it says "5 inquiries" alongside the feedback score, I wonder if that means just questions or maybe complaints?
  13. Is that just a cynic's eye view Joel?
  14. I've reported it to ebay, and send a message to the seller saying that they are committing fraud by trying to pass it off as an original without a disclaimer, so let's see what happens.
  15. Orchis morio subsp. champagneuxii, don't blame me for the name, essentially it's a folded lipped subspecies of the green winged orchid.
  16. Orchis papilionacea, the only ones I've seen this year.
  17. Cladanthus arabicus, rather diminutive this year as we've had so little rain
  18. Congrats Steve, even looks a bit like you.
  19. Nor me Pete, a 6' ladder is my limit, and that's on a good day
  20. just like any dog with Jack Russell blood. Though currently fast asleep (even nicer)
  21. Thanks Suze, he's fine, you can barely see where they opened him up, he's back to his normal self now, belligerent, disobedient and wilful.
  22. I told you they were on the way Steve, the Hoopoes are calling here frequently and the Thekla's and Crested Larks are in abundance. Hope to have some orchid photos later this week, once the dog gets the cone of shame off and his staples out.
  23. Thanks, his staples come out next Monday, then he'll be wearing a muzzle on the beach, but he'll be getting lots of treats.
  24. He's on medication Peter, but typical dog he hates having to take tablets, soft food and no treats at the moment, but is soldiering on. He has to go to the veterinary hospital on Wednesday for a check up and then has the staples out next Monday, hopefully. It's been a traumatic weekend. Not to mention the cost, but he's worth it.
  25. My poor sad dog after having surgery last Thursday because he swallowed a discarded fishhook on the beach.
