  3. price and availability please many thanks
  4. pm me if anyone has or sale, cover condition not important and vinyl just needs to play well . Many thanks
  5. futher help would be appreciated -got the 45 from Manship however its different to the version on 'Northern Soul Nothing but a Houseparty 'compilation cd (2006-Sanctuary).CD sleeve says 'original artists-orginal recordings' so suspect cd version is a Levine motorcity circa 80s recording ? Vocals are mixed higher and kick in earlier with stronger chorus , less orchestration, sounds like a drum machine -but in my mind works well and a good infectious dancer
  6. any advice on this one would be appreciated -vinyl release ? when ? label ? 45 ? where to get ? cheers Andy
  7. Has any one got this jap import 12" for sale -if so, please pm me . thanks Andy
  8. just heard this one and has become no.1 on my wants list -from what little I know its 'unreleased' and was recorded circa 1972 -hopefully I'm wrong (I often am) about being 'unreleased' and someone can point me to that elusive piece of vinyl. cheers Andy

  10. Help on this one please ... Not only is Soulsville , Leeds an excellent venue with fantastic music , DJs and crowd , it also has some great sales boxes. Found this one , which my fellow YKSoul DJ Nick Beilby then purchased for the princely some of £5 . Transpires is a great dancer which neither of us had previously heard from Marvin and in mint condition. Can't find it listed not in Sharon Davis's book etc -was it ever released ?, value (not selling) so any info would be appreciated MARVIN GAYE. TM AUSTRAILIA. back to NW -getting overplayed (first heard at Soulsviller at Baby Jupiter almost a year ago and regularly at Drax (!) ever since).Hyped and and touted as a monster and future classic by many -good record yes , but little more when compared others.
  18. Alan Rhodes -close 2nd to Sir Searling @Wigan , Alan was the most innovative , breaking many new tunes which subsequently became classics , first at York Hypnotique , then Wigan. Now retired from DJing and can't (yet) be tempted back, even for a YKSoul event -but we are trying..... ps our next event is Sat 19 Nov , Temple Hall, York with guest DJ Kenny Burrell .details www.freewebs.com/yksoul
