Sorry to hear this. I travelled up from Sussex, it was a memorable event. The venue nice dancefloor, DJ's and Mr Richard Caiton, a true performance. We thought the attendance was disappointing, specially for you and all the hard work done.Too many nites? I don't know quality usually stands out. The DJ lineup I have not seen Arthur or Mike DJ and Sam since way back when, but following playlists perhaps expected selections were chosen. However brilliant to hear The Differences never heard played out one of my favourite tunes ever . Thanks again for a great night. Keep the faith. K.

so here goes. Postie's reply. If a packet drops through your letterbox in 2/3 days from anywhere (apart from courier companies) then Royal Mail has played a part in that service. It has come from airport to mailcenter then to local office,sorted to walk then delivered. I collect as well and experience some of the points made above. Royal Mail is a long way from perfection and I am no spokesperson on their behalf, but some try hard to be efficient and do their job. ,

some great selections. Some usual suspects, but equally some very personal choices. A big yes to Sam Dees, Marvin's Whats going on, Alice Clark, Bobby Womack, Sandra Wright- superb voice. Dells Mighty MightyDells . I would add Dells V Dramatics LP, Paul Kelly- Hooked Hogtied, Jeferee Mr Fix it, RB Hudmon- Closer to you, Terry Calier- Fire on Ice, Chuck Cissell- Just for You, Major Harris- My Way, and Ashford & Simpson most albums, but Gimme something Real my favourite, the extended I'd know you Anywhere, with Nick Ashford's silky spoken/ softly sung intro is just sublime, absolute quality.. Senior moment must write down lists. Forgot show love for Bobby Wilson and add Greg Perry One for the Road, and one of the best imo. Lou courtney I'm in need of Love KTF..
Two cheapies- Nice twofer 45. Deliverance Loving you/ Sittin around United Soul label St Louis Miss. Loving- sweet midtempo dancer, Sittin- a slice of funky crossover. few sites suggest Gil Scott-Heron influence. Seen a few for sale lately nice and cheap mine was £4. check Youtube. Also The Drifters The Struggler Steeltown records not sure of who's in this lineup? Its a nice crossover soul record- catchy hook . A copy for £6 on RNS.com, if anyone interested, also on youtube.
RIP Sean. A really nice guy, such sad news,you were always friendly to this southerner who made it up to the North Lancs Soul Festival from Sussex. The festival was a testament to you, well organised and friendly like minded souls. It was a pleasure to have known you RIP.
