  1. Anyone ordered the new APX album via Bandcamp and still waiting for it to arrive?
  2. Hearing this a lot at the moment. Going to be a big summer tune!
  3. Download only at present I believe.
  4. Which side though?? Both are worthy! Can't make Whitby due to work commitments!!
  5. Cool. Not sure how you've managed that but cool!!!! Will have to sit and wait for mine! Just listened to your latest Mixcloud Andy. Very nice!
  6. Promos sold out almost immediately. Soundclip in link. https://kimberliterecords.com/collections/45-rpm-records/products/the-love-rights-talk-of-the-town-b-w-its-time-for-a-change-kim-004
  7. Anyone know if anything 'Soulful' is happening in Manchester before or after this event, please? Preferably with an ATB music policy. She's on at the O2 Apollo so also maybe any recommendations for bars near there? Thanks.
  8. Does anyone know whether the 7" mix of this is the same or very similar to the 12" mix? I know there are four mixes on the 12" but running time of all of them are less than four minutes which is probably similar to the 7". Only asking is the 12" is a lot dearer than the 7" and that's usually for a reason ie: it'll have the better mix on it. Thanks.
  9. Was on Sky Arts on Saturday night and is a great documentary. Posted it to a couple of Facebook groups and people have since watched it so must be available to download or on catch up..
  10. Second press clicks in the same way as the first press.
  11. Has the second press actually been made available in the UK yet or still just US at the minute?
  12. If anyone's still chasing one. Turns out there is a slight difference from the first press.
  13. A few records have been popping up lately on eBay and are being described as “audibly off centre” but what does that actually mean? Usually, somewhere in the description it says DNAP but noticeably they are graded down and seem to command less money. Example of one such below which I know mentions storage warp but not all of them do. Thanks https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F352607265527
  14. Couldn't agree more that it's about the music but my question was one I'd wondered about for quite a while. Away from records, I collect a number of different things were knowledge really does matter so when friends are asking the very question I asked before diving in and paying for an overpriced copy from "some greedy part-time collector" and I don't know the answer I thought I'd try and clarify it for them. As it is the prices have already started to tumble upon the news of the future release, something I've already shared amongst this group in the hope that those chasing it still can, make their own minds up as to whether or not to jump in or wait. Thanks for your first reply Chalky (If it is from the same master it will still be a first press. It will only be a reissue if a new master with a new matrix number etc is used. ) I didn't know that and so my knowledge of these things has increased.
  15. Yes, I was wondering about that Dave. Do they have to make it clear its a second press? What has happened in the past? I know when sourcing records before the internet I've since learnt that a couple of mine have been second press/ re-issue and people even arguing/discussing which was first. As you say a lot of people, rightly or wrongly, have paid over and above initial selling price just to get one in their collection.
  16. Possibly old news to a lot on here but a re-press is due in March. Some dealers already advertising and taking pre-orders. Lots more going up on Discogs and eBay mostly at reduced prices.
  17. For anyone still looking for a copy. First one I've actually seen go to auction rather than the previous ’buy it now ’ option . https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F254073053912

7th edition says 1879 still at £75 but the 1932 version is £150 now.

My understanding as well philb. I have the 1879 version and for long enough looked for the 1932 version as well. Definitely saw/was offered more of the 1879 version than the other so just gave up in the end. The 1932 version always seems to be the dearer one and I'm sure in JM's latest price guide that is the case not that that proves anything!
  20. Agree fully. Nothing over exciting as labels go but then it doesn't need to be as the record speaks for itself. That said, other than the cheap paper sleeve that most of us, I imagine, discard I'm sure you wont be disappointed.
  21. I agree. Just thought I'd let you know.
  22. Hi all, Anyone know what is the meaning of "Dj Re-service" on some record labels? The two random ones I've dragged of the net both look like your normal promo/demo and as you can see one says demo on it and one doesn't. Obviously sent out to Djs, radio stations etc but is there a different meaning to the wording that I don't know off? Or are they just effectively promos/demos but with a fancier description? Thanks in advance.
  23. Another one has gone up on Discogs but it isn't cheap!
  24. Did you play it early on at Alfreton on Sunday Mark? I know Mr Curtis opened his set with it and the two guys right at the end played it as well but I'm sure I heard it 3 times which, I know may by some be classed as bad form as in Dj's not listening to fellow Dj's sets and then repeating certain tracks but no complaints here 👍.

Maybe contact this seller? Looks like he's sold more than one so may have more??
