So why would a promoter book a dj who plays boots

Totally agree 100% but if the dj owns the original and plays a boot of it and the next dj knows then whats the problem.Surely the next dj wouldnt play it no matter if original or not,unless he's the kind of dj that turns up 10 minutes before his spot starts.The dj isnt tricking anyone as he has the original. Didnt that happen with Frank Wilson or am I mistaken.

Sorry if this has been a topic before but, Is a boot / pressing ever acceptable for a DJ to play out ? What if DJ has the original but in poor condition and would cost thousands to replace What if the DJ has the original copy but daren't play it in case some knobhead knocks the deck and scratches his prize possession Westy

ok, you go to a venue thinking one of your favourite DJ's in on at example 12pm. so you go into the other room for an hour or so only to find the DJ roster has changed and you missed the DJ you wanted to see. These changes are often unavoidable. Couldn't the DJ roster be displayed somewhere at the start of the night ? This is not aimed at any particular event.... Dave

Please excuse my ignorance but are there two versions of this record. I dont mean part 1 and part 2 but the one I have is the UK issue (Manship I think) and has the second half of the record go on and on without getting anywhere (hard to explain I know) but on a CD I have another version which plays the chorus towards the end. Clear as mud I know but hope you can help. Dave

The guy in question is called Mike, his email adress is priorityroger@gmail.com but is also recordwanted@aol.com The record in question was not an expensive one by any means. it was Honey & the Bees, why do you hurt the one who loves you. Its the principal and the fact someone else may have sent a lot more money. Perehaps there is a genuine reason for all this but if the guy can be on Soul Source as his history states then he should have replied. Dave

Hi y'all, I recently attempted to buy a record here on Soul Source from a guy who probably lives in the U.S. I say that cos he wanted payment in dollars, Anyway the story goes as follows Paid agreed sum as paypal gift, 3 weeks later record not arrived. Emailed him and was told wife had baby so was too busy and would either post record or give refund. Told him to still post record as would rather have it then a refund.Another 3 weeks go buy and still no record.Says he sent it and if I didnt receive it by end of weeks would give me refund and if record turns up I can keep it as well. Being an optimist i thought this guys ok BUT now 8 days later no refund no record and no answers to my emails to him. Have checked his profile etc and he's been on Soul Source regular so must have receive my mails. Told him would post this if no responce so there you have it.

Ive used a spray that is manifactured for cleaning plastic glasses,visors,and lenses for industrial use. Being used for these means it wont scratch anything. spray it on,leave a minute then wipe off with a micro fibre cloth to get into grooves... not bad results but keep it off the label dave
