Does anyone know when the music industry used 'soul' as a term to describe the "new" sound of R&B? I know the Billboard list changed from R&B to Soul in 1969, just need to know when it was used the first time.

Discography question; why can't I find this on the several (not all of them complete) Aladdin discographies on the web? And why does all others have Los Angeles California under tha label name, while Prince Geno has Washington DC, different labels? Seems strange since they look the same
