  4. Hi, please see attached photos. I know I'm losing you side has the correct deadwax readings of TMG 587 A-1 and plays correctly but the B side has no recording and has a very wide deadwax with LPFB stamped. I'm assuming this is a genuine test pressing. Can anyone shed any light on this or information on this please? TIA Julian
  5. This is unplayed mint condition. Some paper sleeve dust so needs a light clean before play. Prices seem to be all over the place on this one. Latest discogs £131, popsike anything from $50 to $300. Does £75 including registered mail sound OK? If not, make me an offer please. PayPal F&F or bank transfer please. PM to buy. Thanks for looking
  6. Went to the Blue Orchid near Derby in Les Cokell's van. Les insisted we all took our 'keep awake additives' before we got there. It was bloody closed. Spent the night in a motorway service station being stared at by the motorway police. Enough to give you the horrors😁. Still, they were happy days.

  15. Hi An old Mecca/Torch pal has asked me to do a CD for him. I've never done one of these before! I was given a new and unused 'Sound One' USB deck a few years ago. Some of the 45s requested are worth a few bob and therefore I'm wondering if it would be safe/OK to use this deck whilst preventing damage to the records. Am I being paranoid? Also, can anyone recommend the most suitable CDs for this endeavour? TIA Julian
  16. I must have got one from Dave. It wasn't really well known at the time and I swapped it to Martin Koppel on one of his trips to Blighty for a copy of Bob Relf which I sold to Keith Minshull that weekend for £20. Happy days😀
  17. Sorry, don't know. Maybe Frank Elson, Franny O'Brien or Ian Levine could help. Unfortunately one or two who may have known have sadly passed away.
  18. Yes, interesting one this. Manship says acetate only and Record Collector only 2 know copies. The label, which I recall was white, black and orange ( not 100% on this) was designed by John Bollen originally from Skipton/Earby area ( he is pictured in Blues and Soul on the Dave visit to the Wheel along with Franny O'Brien and Lesley Brown from Huddersfield) I was obviously not photogenic enough to make the pages!!🤣. Folklore is great but I cannot recall seeing it on vinyl, and I was in the 'know' at the time. Happy hunting to find one.
  19. Hi everyone Just found these two letters from Dave. He was definitely going to issue Sam Nesbitt ( I did have some pre issue prints of the label but heavens know where they ended up). Maybe someone on here has them or knows where they are. Second letter at the bottom eludes to the second proposed issue as Sandi Sheldon!!! Pity he never got round to it😓 Thank goodness I didn't bin these😁
  20. I was only listening to Rob Thomas and Ian Wills discussing this cover up on Saturday night. The SWONS?
