  2. Hi Dave Vandella doesn't normally read SS so I should be in the clear!! All the best to Bev. Julian
  3. Had a 50th birthday party for 'er indoors a couple of years ago. We have a polished floor (real floorboards not these new fangled wood things that come in sheets) in one of the rooms where we set up the decks/dance area.( DJs on the night were Alan Pollard, Graham Slater,Dave Ferguson, Kegsy and The Pittance). Anyway as I got pissed and wanted a dance, so out came the talc. Bloody hell what a mess it made of the floor. Still not got round to having it polished again. Might wait until after the next party or buy a few more rugs! It was a great night though. Julian

Thought Ray Merrell Tears of Joy was the rarest/costliest on the label? Julian
  5. Don't think you'll get much change out of £700 or so. No. I'm not selling mine. Julian

Original is styrene with stuck on label. ztsc 107536 SCRATCHED in. Sounds like a real 'un to me. Boots are vinyl with moulded label
  8. Des Jones played this at Ramsbottom on Friday - it cleared the floor. Not heard it for years. used to get played as a 'find' following the popularity of Marlena Shaw.
  9. Just received a M- demo of this. Trouble is, it has a pressing fault and plays very quitely and then loudly. Are they all like this?

Why not play the Artistics version? Much better than JH in my humble opinion.
  13. Hi Dave got to agree 'Good things' one of my all time favs. Any Day Now was Mrs B's favourite ( when she was still Miss G!!). Les Cokell swapped my copy for the Sapphires - Gotta Have your love stating 'I can get you another CJ but where am I going to get this?' ( took it to the Wheel that night, the rest is history). Anyway I hear you managed to clear the floor at St Bernadettes the other Saturday!! (now, who said DJing was easy?) Julian
  14. Thanks Quinvy
  15. Thanks, but the Bobby Kline price needed 28/3/07
  16. What were the prices LAST week please? Julian
  17. Looks and sounds like mine with the nashville matrix and numbers half covered by the label. Mine is the 'Good-by Cruel world' version so I can't see that they would boot 2 different titles ( and if it's a boot, Mr Cunliffe is in serious trouble!!!) Hope this helps. Julian
  18. Got a demo somewhere. Julian
  19. Used to buy the OOTP 45s in bulk off Chris Burton at 50p each. I then got my mate Twink to sell them at Wigan for a £1 - nice profit. Never went to Wigan myself - I already given up going to NS do's but still had a lot of contacts. Happy days. Julian
  20. Now sorted out with seller ( he's had family problems). Thanks for all your help. Cheers Julian
  21. Thanks for all the replies. I did request a final payment figure via ebay and have subsequently emailed him via ebay to request total again. I have now just mailed via ebay again to tell him I am giving him a couple more days before I file an ebay complaint. I will keep you posted. Julian
  22. Won a 45 on 17th Feb. UK seller based in Darlington sold in $ with no postage costs. Asked for a total price on the day and have followed up with a separate email requesting full cost. Not had a reply. Now, I realise the seller may be on holiday, but I would have thought it would have mentioned it in the sales blurb. Not a high price item, but my bid was a reasonable price. Can the seller refuse to sell ( surely he should have placed a minimum bid, if he required a minimum amount?) Any thoughts of how I can get this sorted. Thanks Julian
