  1. They all sound the same to me,Mr Shrews....and of course, with Chuck ,you get the great flip side too..."Beautiful Woman......"
  2. Didn't Tim auction one not so long ago?....within the last six months?
  3. AhHaHaHa....................
  4. This is great...a "new" rare record has surfaced, and its certainly stirred up a hornets nest....I sincerely hope that it is the real McCoy tho........
  5. Yep,I see your point, but whatever was initially "detailed" in the run out of the TP,should also be on the demo(the next stage?)and anything else added to it...i.e. ARP stamp..,,
  6. Here's what Jonathon Woodliffe had to say on the sales thread....."TP was made 20 days before the demo"...,
  7. Unless the Demo and TP's run out details are the same, then they couldn't of come from the same master stamper...
  8. To be honest,it's easy for John to say something like that, because, unless those run out details match, which it looks very much like they dont( one is ARP and the other Nash Mat )then the chances of those discs coming from the same stamper are pretty slim...they wouldn't of mastered it twice, would they?
  9. I would have thought that the DM code and number would have been in the run-outs....does it l@@k to have an ARP or RCA connection.....?
  10. The vinyl test pressing would normally be the first press, prior to the demo...yeh?....this really could be the very first vinyl press of this legendary tune......
  11. So ARP offered mastering and pressing services,as opposed to just mastering, like NM...?
  12. Yeh,that's why I asked the question Chalky....like the the chap that had the DB London issue....two weeks of hype, then straight off to that well known record auction site......
  13. You certainly got the ball rolling,Pete....1200 views in 20hours....superb stuff.......
  14. Pete,I see you have put the disc "up for sale"in the sales section of SS....is it gonna be "best offer" ,or through an auction house of some kind......?
  15. Jeeze...you can keep the kids, car, house and contents....but I'm havin' that record......
  16. As in "ARP"? Good shout....if that's what it stands for....
  17. Tim has a DEMO (don't know where other one is) it would be great if he could let us know the "run out"details... ...
  18. Good on ya mate...hand writing l@@ks the same as that on Tims copy...and same red pen too...is Robbk around?...
  19. That's a tricky one...three to choose from, and all using the same backing.....but I'm gonna go with Chuck.....
  20. Spun this yesterday afternoon hadnt played it for a while....

Hi all...found these two at a car boot sale,on the same day, just outside Newbury, about 15 years ago....hadn't found much before that or after(Northern-wise)..but I did find the first 17 single releases by The Jam,complete with sleeves and in near perfect condition......
  22. Gonna be one of those nights....again....
