  1. Remember buying this record a while back because I thought it sounded so much like the Five Stairsteps.
  2. I think the bull fiddle should make a comeback.

Oo-Ma-Liddi Online price guide shows cheapest at $40, most expensive at $292
  4. A very plausible answer to my earlier question(s). Thanks Ste.
  5. Err, okay then. No! Now are you going to tell us why?
  6. Good question. Why?

    Not at all.

    What's a femlale?
  9. Wish I'd seen them.
  10. And yet my Parlophone 78rpm one-sided Demos were released in 1957.
  11. Nice. Stil got them?l
  12. Good point. But I was told that it was done like that so they wouldn't / couldn't play the wrong side. Your suggestion sounds more feasible to me now that I've heard it.
  13. Especially in absolutely stonking MINT condition. To be honest, I've never seen any other single-sided 78rpm Demos I guess I would if I knew more UK labelled Rock & Roll collectors perhaps?
  14. I didn't know that. And your reasoning makes some kind of sense. I do like those two one-sided Demos and have a few. I've even got an Otis Williams & the Charms on a UK Parlophone 78rpm as twin one-sided white Demos, they look really cool.
  15. In MOST cases, I'd much rather have the issue. Having said that, the variety of Demos on London do look nice.
  16. Don't think it matters what's hiding inside Flynny's sleeve, sleeves can easily be swapped. There'll be some rhyme or reason for the picture sleeve releases, I just wish I could get to the bottom of it.
  17. That's what I've been asking but have had no takers.
  18. This is not a story about vinyl but a copy of Blues & Soul, so please excuse the poetic licence. My old pal Frank Jackson (may he rest in peace) and I, after returning to his flat from a record hunting trip around Liverpool one weekend, were greeted by the fact that his cat had sh@t on his latest copy of Blues & Soul. He wouldn't have minded so much but he hadn't read it yet. The cat got a right kickin' up the @rse. All's I can remember was Frank's series of expletives followed by a cat screaming and flying through the air before smashing into a wall on the opposite side of the room. What a laugh. Sorry if there are any cat lovers reading this but you had to be there to see the funny side of it. The cat was alright by the way and lived a long and peaceful life. It had learned a hard lesson that day.
  19. I guess you've all heard about the one were Richard Searling, after lifting his records out of the boot of his car, accidentally reversed over one of the boxes he'd forgotten to move out of the way. The only record that got damaged was his UK copy of Billy Harner's What About The Music instrumental on Kama Sutra. Dog rare!!!
  20. So what was the all white copy I wonder?
  21. Is it a Demo, or an issue that's had the black sections accidentally left off? Or perhaps a Canadian release?
  22. I wonder if your all white Demos are in fact Canadian Demos? Only, Wand Demos I've got I'm sure say something along the lines of Advanced Copy, whatever?
  23. I wonder? Does that mean ALL US releases of this record had a picture sleeve? And if not, how did they decide which would, and which wouldn't get picture sleeves?
  24. Look at that, they've even kept the star in the bottom RH side of the label on the white demo. Cool.
