Japanese Album Wanted
As Tony has already pointed out, the sound quality on the A to B LP is indeed spot on. The New Sounds LP is 'bass-y' as is the original LP on Turbo...so maybe the master tapes are the same (if they exist)? Shame as there are some corking tracks on it. Slight tangent...have a spare Whispers 'Shhh' LP on P-Vine, if anyone is interested?)

The Chosen Few-Footsie
I once came across this info...can't remember the link sorry: Footsee, the newest craze with the playground set! The toy consists of a plastic ankle ring to which is attached a30-in. string with a bell-shaped weight at the other end. The object is to twirl the string with one foot and hop with the other; well-coordinated youngsters can now twirl three Footsees at once—one on each leg and one on anarm. In the first three months on the U.S. market, about 4,000,000 of the $1.29 toys were sold. The reason cannot be novelty: a similar toy enjoyed brief popularity four years ago. Robert Asch, president of Twinpak Ltd. of Montreal, whichmakes the Footsee, is sure the game is far older; he got the idea while watching Arab children in Jerusalem playing with like contraptions.

Why Are Certain Record Nearly Always Knackered?
This turns up (very) regularly over here...and always not a million miles away from being mint. In fact, the majority of the discs I turn up here are in fabulous condition, including loads of unplayed ex-warehouse stock...sometimes in quantity if I'm lucky! Guess we got the deadstock that was bought up many moons ago and shipped out over here...I see loads of SS7, Goldwax, Chess label stuff all the time! One thing I do have to watch for is 'storeage mould brown dots' on some labels / LP sleeves, possibly from the hot'n'humid conditions over here? Can't have it all, eh?!

Bob & Earl - Oh Baby Doll - Tempe
Was a popular spin for six months or so during the mid 8T's...quite tough on a WD. It also appeared on an original 6T's Bob & Earl LP of Tempe and Chene recordings...can't recall the label though, sorry. If you like this track you may like their track on Tip called, 'Oh! Yea'...similar feel in places.

Sergio Mendes And Brazil 77 - Love Music
Love it...especially the keyboard break and brass stabs. Came out in Japan on a Bell 7" with pic cover.

Joy & The Hit Kids
Came out on German Decca back in '67. I like it....though it sounds much better when you don't watch the YouTube clip at the same time!
