Emory and the Dynamics - Pretty Little Schoolgirl - Peachtree Whats the going rate for this little lovely on a WD?
  2. Oirish Greeeg used to spin this a lot at the Capitol Soul Club...there was a bunch of picture sleeve copies found at that point as well...think he tracked down a band member...also got a baseball hat with the group name on it as I recall!!
  3. I have a mint- stocker on my site for a very reasonable £20 +P&P >>> LOOK HERE <<<
  4. A West Country classic championed for decades by Hippo, for sure! Was lucky enough to find a copy of this last weekend...never owned one before! HOWEVER, I was pleasantly suprised with the flipside...very Funky Northern and dare I say would interest a lot of folk searching for that style!? Anyone given it go with the dancefloor yet? One to watch maybe?
  5. Ouch! Must admit this is the first spare copy I've had in 25 years of owning a copy!
  6. Good choice...luverly New Orleans plodder and not too easy to find in good condition
  7. Agree I've always gone for the Douglas Gibson cut, but am now having a re-think about the Luther Ingram as it is so more 'Detroity' sounding and gutsy. Never been a big fan of the vocal performance of the Harrisons, although the backing track means I can't ignore it! Glad to read that Cliff has been spinning the Luther flipside...I'd honestly not heard it before finding a copy of the disc at the weekend
  8. Luther Ingram - Hurdy Gurdy Harrison Brothers - Bobalou Douglas Gibson - Tangerine Three versions all subtly different from each other, and all first rate hard-driving Northern Soul! Which was played out first? Are there any other versions out there? Luther's is the rarest, but which is your favourite? By the way, the flip of Luther 'I Need You Now' is damn good northern too...never heard that played out or spoken about!
  9. I feel a separate thread coming on!
  10. J.P.Robinson - Our Day Is Here / Keep me Satisfied - Blue Candle Vinyl: 9 out of 10, near mint both sides. Labels: clean bar the deletion hole. Scans are of the actual disc for sale. NOW SOLD Price includes the internet trackable courier service P&P. Payment via £UK cheque to my UK address, or bank transfer to my UK account...NO Paypal.
  11. Now there's a gutsy Northern floorshaker...love it.By coincidence I found a copy of Luther Ingram's original version on Hurdy Gurdy last weekend (pictured above)...anyone know the going rate? You have to wade through half a dozen pages of his HIB 45 before one pops up on Popsike from a few years ago!
  12. Any markings, or thoughts as to if one is a latter day press rather than an at the time press?
  13. Well, if Franc hasn't got a copy to sell, I may have!
  14. Hmmm...love the first half of the track, incredible begining even, but then it never really goes anywhere and I find myself wanting more from it. Their 'I Just Cna't Help Myself' / 'One Way Lover' double-sider however is faultless...both sides...well I say faultless I think the production of the sound of IJCHM could benefit from less treble! Fussy, I know!
  15. Tell me about it...will be listing them all for sale at some point this week
  16. ..and me, as much as I love Major Lance's recordings!
  17. I had a red vinyl one fairly recently...sold it before I managed to list it.
  18. I found one of those yesterday...mint! Mind you, I also recall paying well less than £10 for it in the early 8Ts!
  19. The last 5 discs I bought..difficult to pin down just five as I got lucky and had another good hit yesterday that included at least x25 absolute corkers..check out the piccie!
  20. Nice one...bubbling under the radar and ready for turntable action for sure! Have a spare demo for £20...bargain!
  21. Fabulous OTT production...love it! have a spare WD in M- condition for £25 if anyone is looking
  22. Thanks mate 100% New Orleans R'n'B...with Northern Soul appeal!
  23. I've been told it is the other way around!
  24. Got one of those up for grabs, if anyone fancies a copy: >>> More Details <<<
