  11. The backing track was also used on the same label by Lainey Allen, albeit set at a slower pace. Oddly enough most of the copies of this version that were around in the mid-80's had her autograph on the label...odd what one can remember at times! Prefer the Lyrics version by a country mile!
  12. Is it my imagination, or does the lead singer have a lisp?
  13. A friend of mine many years ago admitted that he thought Pookie Hudson sang, 'Oooh! It's destiny...' rather than 'Oooh! It gets to me...' San Francisco TKO's...yes took a few listens to decide male/female lead...plus we had to wait a month between hearing it back in the day Renaldo Domino usually fools a few folk too
  14. I remember Gary Rushbrooke playing it upstairs at Stafford during his last set there...'84/'85-ish? I bought one from GuyH that same nighter for £10...I believe I sold that copy to Frank (Norwich) for around £125-ish a fair few years back. Not particularly rare with waaaaaaaaaay more than a handful around, but a safe £300 for sure...imo.

I know it is a 70's disc, but...hello my name is Flynny and I LOVE this track In fact, it was via Mr.Thorley that I first heard it many moons ago at various venues, where he graced the decks Every home should own a copy...and a tune that should by now be regarded as a classic slice of 70's Northern
