What about bought or rediscovered in the last 12 months?

This One Has Been Closed And New Thread Opened
Okay, looking at the responses.... People seem to want it to be as open as possible or a pick and mix. I like the idea of LP tracks (I wasn't in that one) and I have a leaning to X-over/70's, but by having either as a theme would potentially exclude people. I like the idea of a city and it would be great if we each chose a different city or state (bit dodgy if you get Alaska). I already had a leaning towards stuff bought in the last 12 months and Paul (Mischief) already has one done.... So - Tunes bought in the last 12 months.... And yes Joan, girls are allowed. I will be creating a new thread later today/this evening. Usual rules with the first 30 getting in. Cheers, John

I don't mind who takes the lead, Chris has done a sterling job in the past. If he wants to be the lead I'm happy.

This One Has Been Closed And New Thread Opened
It's always a hard one as being too specific can put people off, for me the broader the better. So what about something along the lines of tunes bought or revisited since the credit crunch (the last year or so). That way it can transverse the genres, decades, formats and price. Watcha think?

This One Has Been Closed And New Thread Opened
It's been 6 months since the last one and there were a few people not in it, who said they would be interested in the next one. I've also spoken to a couple of people and they said they were interested. I tried to resurrect it on the old CD Swap thread but there was only one response. The last few I've been in have been great fun with new tunes (to me) popping up all the time. So, is anyone interested?

John Manship Auction Results 22nd Oct
It sold for $5.2k on ebay in January at the x-rate at that time that equates to £2.6k, which is still about about £800 more than this one. Is this the credit crunch biting or was it just two mad ebayers

Cd Swap May 2008

Was looking at one last week, they're great and should last for years, quite pricey though at about £75

Your Favourite Modern Soul Choons ?
Bob Jones used to play this side before Daydream became popular. With the great line "my nose was wide open & you walked right into my brain".

Oct 15th Jm Finshing Prices
Have I missed something here. How long has this tune been worth nearly £500?

E-bay Seller
Sometimes it can take time, depending on what postage you paid for. I think the longest I waited for a delivery was nearly a month. But all their parcels are well packaged and I've never had anything lost in the post.

Tony Drake...suddenly..... Brunswick Issues?
Doesn't Mr Plumb have one?

8th Oct John Manship Finishing Prices
I've been quite surprised at to some of the tunes up for auction recently. Tunes that I generally would have thought were set sale items rather than auction items. But if they're being sold on behalf of other people, so be it. I hope the premium recieved for being on this auction outways the sale fee paid.

Prices Please
Surely they're about £150 and £200?

Carol Anderson - Sad Girl
I'll Get Off At The Next Stop is one of my all time faves... I loved it from the first time Bob Jones played it on the Radio. I bought it for "Next Stop" and had it for a couple of years and never flipped it over, silly me cos Sad Girl was on the other side. Since then I've always listened to both sides. I posted "Next Stop" in Refosoul a while ago.

Kwanza Discography
Cheers chaps. It was Bobs comments on the Robert Dobyne flip on the other thread that got me thinking about my missing numbers. Definately my faves are Terry Collins and Robert Dobyne. Steve, It'll be great if you post up a scan of the issue. Baz, Pat posted up Robert Dobyne in the sweet & deep thread. Cheers, John

Micky Moonshine - Going Rate?
Its one of those bad disco records you'd expect to hear on a program like The Love Boat or any of the other Aaron Spelling programms around the mid to late 70's. Saying that I think it's a great dancer, but sadly is quite a good example showing that not everything "Northern" is soul.
