  1. Has any one got one availiable for sale, please? John
  2. It also came out on a Dells comp LP on Buddah (early 70's I think), which was a collection of earlier VeeJay recordings. John
  3. It should get there without it, it's only down the road from me and all the posties know the area where he lives. John
  4. Mine went out yesterday and this morning. Quite an eclectic mix of tunes from me. I've looked at keeping it below £20, either by benchmarking on Gemm or purchased for £20 or under in the last 6 months. Steve's CD is a cracker, especially with the name that tune game. Makes me feel quite embarrassed that I don't have them all, but that will change... I still need the one remaining address. John
  5. I'm Looking for one of these, please? John

Funny enough, this was on Simon T's cheapie tunes CD that poped through the letter box this morning. An absolute fabulous tune. IMO cheap at double the price. John
  7. John Edwards on Bell. I ordered it from a dealer (I used a lot) for £25 along with Walter Jackson - Let Me Come Back for £30 and was going to pick them up at a Leighton Buzzard Allnighter. On the way up there I had a crash in the car, which crumpled the wing. I told the dealer the situation and that I thought it would be better to use this money towards the repairs, which he was cool with. Got the Walter Jackson a few months later, but never got the John Edwards. Water still fills my eyes, when I hear it and think of it's current price. John
  8. Bump. There must be one somewhere, please?

Bring It Home (And Give It To Me) - hot sauce - volt Refosoul Rare and Northern Soul Clip library - v3 getting there..
  10. A natural progression from my previous post. Has anyone got one, they will sell to me please? Cheers, John
  11. Does anyone know the price for this and was it ever issued? Cheers, John
  12. What about a "lucky dip". It would give an added surprise, when recieved. I would also remove pressure on specific requirements, such as LP only, detroit, etc... John
  13. I sold the Drapers a few months ago for £40, but have seen it for a ton. Tutti Hill £5-£10
  14. I'll send you The Dells when I get home from work.
  15. I thought that the point of these swaps was to give exposures to tunes people may not know. Surely this is an open forum for all to contribute. Keeping the CD swapping to the same 25 people is creating a "clicky" club and putting up barriers to other people. Suely it should be first come first served? If you're allowing new people, i'd like to be included. John
  16. Again not truly Blaxpoitation..... The Dells - A Heart Is A House For Love From the Five Heartbeats
  17. More Cosby show than Blaxploitation. Lets Do it Again - Staple Singers. With some of the greatest names for a characters in any film - Bootney Farnsworth and Biggie Smalls
  18. Living so close to Pat is potentially good for "sales" and bad for his bank balance...
  19. Records by Mail had it on ebay a few months ago with it at a buy it now @ approx £250, there were no takers
  20. You are right "somehow missed the "r Love" off, bad typing... Changed the heading for completeness. mmmm.. that's getting into Tolbert territory, and when I told my wife I was thinking about that, she hit me below the belt with a "but thats a holiday" blow and the conscience kicked in. Many thanks, John
  21. Although it's a want of mine (like so many others), this is more of a question. Does anyone know a ballpark value for this? I know it's rare and I'd like to have a figure in my mind, rather than having a complete shock, if one does ever come up for sale. Cheers, John

Pete, So how does this compair to Tolbert - I Got it, as I remember you were a "big fan" of that? I remember when Clifton Dyson appeared at the Norfolk Village, copies seemed to appear out of the woodwork, which he was happy to sign.
  23. A similar situation to the Carol Anderson. I had a tape of Rod Dearlove on I think a Steve Hobbs show, where Willie Johnson - It's me was played (I think it was the same show that Wilson Picket - I Want You was played) and another call to Soul Bowl. With the other side What am I going to do without your love - Savannah International. Bought Charles Brimmer - The Feeling is in my heart - Broadmoor. The other side is the absolutely fabulous Mr Teardrops Bought Bill Brandon - Rainbow Road - Tower, and the other side is a cracking bit of 60's "You've Got That Something Wonderful"
  24. I'll post it up tonight when I get home from work, unless someone posts it up before me. Cheers, John
