  1. When I list on record sales it stays on Markt, but when tried on stock sales it moves to Forum. Does that matter?
  2. "I've Got To Find Me Somebody" The Vel-Vets 20th Century Fox vinyl white Demo USA original 45rpm, of this all-time Northern Soul classic. Rarer demo in Ex condition. £500 plus £9.00 fully insured postage to UK address only. Paypal f&f of bank transfer payment. All my sales are fully returnable if not happy, buyer pays return post.
  3. I thought "The English Game" was very good on Netflix. A six part drama, one hour episodes, about the start of the F.A. in Victorian times. Social drama as well as football history.
  4. As I remember, it was played plenty of times in Wigan Casino as well! The blog doesn't mention that! Along with other relatively new releases were getting played like Johnny Williams "Something Kinda Mellow" on Babylon, James Bynum "Time Passes By" on Philly City - "Keep On Running Away" Bits n' Pieces and Black & Ward - Stanley Woodruff and lots more things that were coming out of America at that mid 70's time and played in the Casino when they were virtually new releases.
  5. It will have no effect on my buying and it is still cheaper than Ebay to sell. But these selling costs do make me wonder why I bother listing cheaper items.
  6. Sorry it was November 1976 the allnighters finished. They had started in Feb 75. The Alldayers started 19th Dec 1976.
  7. I think both venues in Cleethorpes were finished as allnighers by November 1976. Just alldayers and soul nights after that. The authorities wanted it stopped as an allnighter.
  8. Club Soul, rip up the dancefloor Sax!
  9. Another ToddlinTown, Bull and the Matadors track which I think is great and underated is "If You Decide"
  10. As previously mentioned in an earlier post from Chalky!
  11. "I Know We Can Work It Out" (Sugar Baby) - Chris Bartley - Buddah. Originally a track on his Vando LP called "Sugar Baby" Original USA 45rpm in M- condition. This is the rare high quality vinyl original, as opposed to the brittle styrene copies. Sold. £3.50 recorded delivery. Only posting to UK address at the moment. Payment by Bank transfer or Paypal F&F. Sound clip just to hear the track.
  12. They were done with all the other pressings, repro's and boots in the 70's for sellers like Colin Bee and all those others selling in the Black Echoes magazine or those large boxes of pressings in venues. A lot were pressed up at legitimate USA pressing plants like Monarch. Who knows what was legal and what was not! Reissues from the likes of Columbia, MGM, RCA etc would have been legal, but most of the others probably not. As you will know, a lot of sellers call pressings and boots, reissues to try and make there sales legitimate. To me all that matters is whether it's an original or not!
  13. "Love Hides All Faults" - Johnnie Mae Matthews - Audrey. Original 45rpm. Great Detroit Northern Soul in great Mint- condition. SOLD £3.45 postage. Paypal (friends & family option) or bank transfer. Postage to Uk address only at this time.
  14. The original has a machine stamped H in the runout groove.
  15. The Commands - "Don't Be Afraid To Love Me" - Dynamic. A nice Ex grade. Looks and plays great. Original first issue with the better label design. SOLD. Big Joe Turner - "Two Loves Have I" Bluestime. £75 plus fully insured postage £7.50. Condition is M- for this great crossover/Northern record. Baby I Love You - Howard Tate - Verve £25. Ex. Full gloss shine to vinyl. Drill hole in label. Paypal f&f or bank transfer.
  16. I agree partly, but these dj's were doing lots of different venues at the time, so no sound is exclusive to a particular venue. Richard Searling had "When He's Not Around" by Rose Valentine & the Sisters Three (Little Ann Bridgeforth) which was virtually a Wigan Casino exclusive for years, but he did play it at every other venue he did a dj spot as well!
  17. "Baby I Love You" Howard Tate Verve 45 USA original. £25 plus postage. Paypal f&f or bank transfer. Condition is Ex+. Looks and plays great. Vinyl retains all it's gloss. Cut out hole in label. Just to hear the tune. Same as Tyn Tynes, just as good, but a lot cheaper!
  18. That's a bit of an daft statement considering all the wonderful and total classic Northern Soul records that were played at Wigan Casino allnighters! Just about every great Northern Soul record that was popular up till 1981, was played there! Yes there were some bad ones, but far outnumbered by the good! I know Shrine's Eddie Day and the Four Bars was a monster sound there! You have to remember it was not all sorted out, like it is now! We were all young and hearing new records just about everyday.
  19. Some of those American's think they will get arrested by the FBI if they put the wrong value on a customs sticker🥵!
  20. "Ain't Nobody's Business" Ernie Marbray Wee. Original first issue in top mint- condition. Sold. Paypal f&f or bank transfer. Post only to UK address at this time.
  21. "I Don't Know ( What To Do About You)" - Lanier & Co - Uk Threeway label 12" 45rpm. Original UK release from 1987. Condition is Near Mint. Great Modern Soul track. £15 + postage £3. This came out on Waylo label in the USA. Produced and written by Willie Mitchell. "Don't Let Love Get You Down" - Matthew David - Bluebird UK 12" 45rpm original UK release. Great version of the Archie Bell and the Drells track. Condition is Mint- £10 + £3 postage to UK address. Or buy both and get free postage. Paypal friends and Family option or bank transfer. A postage to UK address only, at this time.
  22. "I Dream Of You" - Clara Hardy - Tuna. "I Dream Of You" - Motor City Sound. Original first issue of this wonderful Detroit classic 45rpm. Condition is Mint- £750 Really exceptional top condition on this great record. Postage is £7.85 for fully insured postage. Postage to UK address only at this time.
  23. I would of thought true Bruce Springsteen fans would see these cover versions of classic soul records as a sell-out. Usually his records sound like redneck light rock with a voice like Silvester Stallone in Rocky!
  24. Ridiculous prices, defies logic☹️!
  25. Very sad news. A great DJ and he knew the very essence of Northern Soul, which he showed by being able to wind up the dance floor and create a great atmosphere💫
