  1. The first issue is on Vault records from 1968. The Paula release was 2 years later in 1970. I would expect about £150 on Vault and about £80 to £100 on Paula. Seems to be as many demos and pink copies as red.
  2. It looks identical, just like mine. I bought it in Salt Lake City in 1978. It was shrink wrapped and unopened.
  3. I agree, and UK Ebay is just as bad! Loads of records way overpriced and been on there a very long time!
  4. "Fickle Finger Of Fate" Bernard Pretty Purdy - Columbia demo - Vg++ £15. I remember this was a great Mecca and Wigan instrumental. "A Shot Of Love" - The Variations - Amy - A really nice Mint- pink demo. £25 "I Don't Want To Live My Life Alone" - The Witches - Sew City - Mint- £25. Great J.J. Jackson/ Sydney Barnes written dancer. "Can't Wait For Love" - Hokis Pokis - Shield Ex. Nice cult 70's record. Sold. "My Home"/"My Home" - Big Apple Brass (vocal J.R. Bailey) - Royal Flush demo. M- condition. £15. Jan 10th 1979 date stamp on one side label. "All The Way"/ Help Yourself" - Ruby Andrews - Zodiac Vg++ £10. ZTSC stamped. "Take me To Your Leader"/ Darkness Of The Night" - The Sharpees - One-derful M- £12. Unissued Chicago dancer and great slower flip. All originals. Postage is £3 signed for to UK address. Sorry no overseas postage at the moment. Paypal friends & family or bank transfer.
  5. Mainstream TV always make programmes that feature Northern Soul for people who are not into it and never have been! It would be good to have a Northern Soul programme made for the people who are into it now and are part of the scene! About the records that are big now and who is playing them? What's happening in the record bar with prices etc? Who's doing the best dancing and where? Are there any new soul releases big on the scene, and other things that are relevant to the people who care!
  6. Let's hope it's not the usual standpoint of TV broadcast about Northern Soul!. They all take the attitude nobody's ever heard of this strange thing called Northern Soul! For example, when you watch a football match they don't assume nobody's ever heard of it and talk as though it's something from outta space!😟

It was ok earlier this morning.
  8. "The Windows Of Your Heart" - The Petals - Mercury. Ex vinyl and plays great. Two x's on the label. Classic from the golden years💫. SOLD. "You Told Your Story" - Troy Keyes - ABC. Nice issue in excellent condition. £20 plus £3 recorded postage. "House In Order" / "Eighth Wonder"- Arnold Bryant - Mercury Demo. Vg. It has light marks on the vinyl but plays well. Eighth Wonder side grades Ex. First issue with the two rings around the Mercury emblem! SOLD. Paypal f&f (I have been selling on here for years with 100% positive feedback) or bank transfer the choice is yours. Posting to UK addresses only at this time.
  9. The gold styrene copy is release number 102. So it is the first issue. The yellow vinyl copy is release 103! So it's the next release on, with different flip side I think.
  10. As you will probably know, the styrene copies are the west coast originals whereas the vinyl Amy Mala Bell distributed copies are the East coast originals.
  11. When this was first played in Wigan Casino nighter it sounded awesome! That backing track bass sounded like heavy thunder in the main hall!
  12. The Rolling Stone Illustrated History Of Rock And Roll Book. Original issue from 1976. Issued and printed in the USA. Big book 14" x 11" x 1". A3 size. Lots of great and big pictures of Soul artists in their early years. Articles on Motown, Chicago Soul, The Brill Building, Soul, The Sound Of Texas and lots more! See contents picture. Got to be worth it for the pictures alone! Condition is used but excellent. A bit of yellowing on the page edges. No writing etc. £15 + £5.50 recorded delivery. UK delivery only.
  13. I find some records are All-nighter records💥 Then some suit Soul/night evenings better🍸 Then there are some that work in both!💫
  14. Yes, but don't let the price put you off, I remember when lots of today's big sounds were plentiful and cheap from the Soul Bowl!😉
  15. Sometimes when I've heard a record played loud in a venue it sounds great. So much better than at home! Can't believe I've had it my collection for years! Like this Jimmy Robbins! I remember when Wade Flemmons "Jeanette" was cheap and how different/better it sounded played loud in a venue💥 Any had that effect on you?💫

"Here is Barbara Lynn" L.P. on Oval. Just great track after track!👍 "Get On Up And Get Away" L.P. The Esquires on Bunky. Same again, one great track after another🌟 Lots of Motown TML LP's
  17. Just because a record was played somewhere first, doesn't mean that it can never ever be a big record anywhere else! It's not your exclusive forever! Also at my age, the photo's of the punters/revelers in the late 1960's at the Twisted Wheel look like a youth club, if you are bringing up things like that!
  18. Yes I think it's an early seventies reissue about the same time they did a Laurie press of the Dynamics "Yes I love You Baby" for the Northern Soul scene demand.
  19. I presume you mean the issue, as the vinyl east coast demo plays with loud and great fidelity, it couldn't be better.
  20. A lot safer buying the coloured demo with Advance Release written down the sides, and with the machine stamped matrix numbers! You can't go wrong with that one.

Are there any 3 or 4 pronged copies on red Atlantic? All the copies I have had were manufactured without a centre! content://com.android.chrome.FileProvider/images/screenshot/1673447285433112151107.jpg
  22. "I Don't Want To Live My Life Alone" The Witches. Sew City. £35 plus postage. Condition is a great Mint- Great Semi-known Northern, with a lot of potential 👍 Have a listen and sample the tune from You Tube.
  23. He's Got Nerve -Truetones - Soulville SOLD First label original, before it came out nationally on Josie as "He's Got The Nerve". This Soulville original track is a longer playing version than the Josie release. £30 plus postage. Condition is a very nice Excellent. Record plays a little off centre. About 2mm. This is not enough to spoil playback. I have dropped the price to reflect this. You can send it back for refund if not happy. Buyer pays for return postage.
  24. The French Coffee tune sounds a lot like "You Say You Love Me" Dee Edwards -Tuba. As soon as I played it, I thought I know that tune from somewhere!
  25. I enjoyed the times when it was ran under the Soultown banner as well. I think it was Guy Hennigan running them at that time.
