  3. Hi everyone! Went out last night to a live show by Earl Thomas (and the Royal Guard) at Woodford Halse Social Club organised by The Great Central Blues Club (Craig & Alison Cutler). Mr Thomas and his backing band were excellent and we really enjoyed them. The venue is very nice with a reasonable bar and room to dance - what more could you want.     This is indeed very sad news. Gil - wherever you are now, thank you for all your brilliant music, your deep and powerful lyrics also the poetry and books. I am a huge fan of many years, very lucky to have seen you live back in 1991 in Oxford - you and the band gave us a brilliant set with a great sense of humour running all the way through it.
