Card sleeves 7 inch.
I always buy mine from Covers 33 (just do a web search). Prices have recently shot up like everywhere so they are now 100 for £20 delivered. Reason I’ve stuck with these is because most paper sleeves fit inside them bar the odd wider one. Seen slightly lower prices on Ebay etc at around £18.49 delivered but having used other covers before and found they are too small to take an inner paper sleeve as well and/or are made of thinner cardboard too, I’ve just stuck with what I know.

2022 - The Best Cuts
Not necessarily the top 4 tunes I purchased during 2022 but these sprang to mind as being worth a mention and were all to hand. Great follow up album from Dwayne Scivally and 3 very decent 7” singles:

Heads Up - Upcoming/New Releases - late 2022
Yes you could well be on to something…I’ve listened to both versions and it does sound like a more modern production than 1979 (obviously the 12” will as it’s a remix!). I’m quite happy to be proved wrong if it indeed does turn out to be a true ‘79 slate. Similar to the Jeffords Brothers number on the “Can You Feel It?” compilation, it is a nice song but not sure it really is a disco track in my opinion. The press blurb stating “mysterious House Bros” also sets off alarm bells. Almost every time I’ve heard the mysterious phrase it turns out to be a well known team behind the recording trying to either get one over on the connoisseurs or because the credibility of the artist probably wouldn’t sell it without hype. No doubt all will be revealed in time as always…

Larry Houston Let's spend some time together Boot / Orig
Just a bit of additional info regards the 12” version of this track as per a couple of earlier posts…it is mentioned in Richard Searling’s book “Setting The Record Straight” on page 150 partial quote: “The track would also later be discovered on an extremely obscure twelve”. Never seen a 12” copy myself but would be interested to know if they are extended mixes or just the same 7” versions.

I’m afraid I can’t answer your question but would be interested if anyone can? Bought the 2nd paper label issue around 82/83 new and still have it. Can’t remember exactly how much I paid but pretty sure it was around £1.50 give or take. Just out of interest why do you ask? Do you own a paper label copy which you suspect is a boot?

Soul Packs From Soulbowl Back In The 1970's
Yes although not until early summer 1983. By that time it was £20 for 100 plus P+P…well worth the money but it was mostly unwanted 70s stuff which would now be described as crossover, modern, rare groove etc rather than “60s Northern”. Back then I wasn’t really interested in 90% of the 70s sounds just the 60s records and the current at that time 80s soul/funk/boogie scene. So took out all the decent Northern vinyl and discarded the rest which have been moved around the house at various points in the last 39 years. I even thought about dumping them on several occasions. Out of curiosity, I dug them out a couple of months ago and had a good look through them checking out the prices using guides and online resources…I found plenty of now rare in demand items and at a conservative estimate the value must be around £3000! Most of the records now sell for a minimum £10 to £30 (hardly big numbers on the soul circuit but I only paid 20p per item back in 1983) with plenty of £40 to £80 contenders and a small number of higher value pieces like Clay Gatton on White Wing which then would of only been out 4 years. So yes, should of definitely purchased more of those packs!!!
