Freddie North "Don't Make Me Look So Bad" & Wendell Watts were the winners of this disc for me all essential tracks anyway but those 2 had repeats on my home system the hairs were up on my neck which is a rarity itself these days i highly rate this cd & recommend for real soul fans. Thanks ady & the kent team for all the hard work, Kind regards,

News: Rob Smith - Vinyl Dealer feature on Notts TV
I have relations in the area and travel down from Scotland to visit them so I make some time on the Saturday to wander off and just spend some money I don't want to think how uch money I've spent in there, Due to commitments I haven't been in for my last couple of trips. Last time Rob was sorting things out so one day perhaps in the distant future it will be sorted and everything will be in order, but until then you can't beat that feeling when you find something you've been looking for in a bag under a box in a pile. Keep on doing what you do Rob

Yes shame especially no June Jackson - which surely has crossover appeal- News: Motown Related Auction 22 and 23 Feb 2017 (including the Andantes)
Thank you ,MH, got in on your link. Results overview; most of acetates only realised half of estimate, and lots of £200-£300 acetates did not sell, highest price for me The Originals :"Young Train " w/l promo made £600 a giant leap in the last 12 months. LP,s Motown ,showed the lack of interest in the brand most making only £5to £10 and all the once wanted items where there. I Sold my Motown LPs last year with Omega Auctions of Manchester ,did much better !- News: Motown Related Auction 22 and 23 Feb 2017 (including the Andantes)
Sorry guys don't know where you are looking but I've just got all the details from their site again! To reiterate Go to Special Auction Services website - go to 'prices realised' - click on 'Music and Entertainment' and then click on 22nd and 23rd February. They are there honest!! Dave Sallis- News: Motown Related Auction 22 and 23 Feb 2017 (including the Andantes)
I can get to the results OK here https://www.specialauctionservices.com/large/me220217/page012.html- News: Motown Related Auction 22 and 23 Feb 2017 (including the Andantes)
All winning bids now online. Go to SAS auctions and click 'prices realised' they are all there!! One person (who shall remain nameless) dominated the buying although he did have some opposition from the 'net'. Very mixed bag re prices - usual auction! I attended but got so overwhelmed with the volume of stuff mentally switched off - and I attend many auctions! Spent my money on other bits and got just one Motown item Dave Sallis- News: Save the Ritz
Yes Apple was a record label & I never noticed the Apples setting a load of lawyers on them. The bible now makes more sense Eve was clearly offering Adam a raincoat to cover his meat & 2 veg up or was it a 12" record, either way it works.- News: Save the Ritz
Ee by gum why don't they re-name it the Reetz pronounced Ritz of course by the regulars. I heard a lot of the Ritz [London Hotel that is] customers complained that they had gone to Brighouse first only to be told they had the wrong venue, they must be crackers [Ritz that is] if they didn't realise sooner, so to avoid any further confusion Ritz Hotel London are taking legal action. After all is not an apple a fruit, not anymore it's raincoat!- News: Save the Ritz
So it's now clear that London Ritz's motivation is to get hold of Brighouse Ritz's website domain name "liveattheritz" - they don't really care what the ballroom's called or if it has to close as a result of their legal tactics. So - are there any lawyers in this group who can offer some free advice to Glenn the owner? At least stalling the threat of legal action? And in parallel - any members who can influence the media? It's already been on regional TV I understand and feels like a story that could be escalated to national TV. There's also an online petition gathering momentum https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/save-brighouse-ritzs-identity .... every signature helps. Cheers...............Pete- News: Twisted Wheel II: Brazennose & Whitworth Street 1963-1971 Out Now

Just put my order in, nice choon's both sides tbvh, I love it when a previously un-released choon from old un-issued tapes/recordings are found & then gets its first ever release, that's superb, especially when its a real 1st Issue Vinyl release too, I get a great buzz on getting my hands on newly released choon's from the vaults of time, like treasure they are in my book, thx for the heads up Chalky :-)- News: Bobby Freeman RIP

My personal fave tune your ,stylish aquatic dance shimmy, cover of "The Duck"! Johnny , Malaga..- News: Sons of Robin Stone Previous Unreleased 45 Out on Release
Well, I love this song. Great Philly from a great group. I was privileged to hear some a cappella's from a rehearsal they did. I was blown away with their harmonies. I think ,any people are shocked to see who they are. And on this you can hear Earl Young's typical Philly drums. I hardly hear this at events and it is very sad that material like this is not exploited. I'm ready to give up on my love/The Sons of Robin Stone - News: The Soulful Side of GME & Musette Records - Tramp records
