  1. Is the Symphonics 'Guilty'?
  2. Thanks Honkey!!! Superb Soul sounds, every track's a winner. Quality tuneage. Like the quote on the flip of the CD cover ...'Not for sale. Soul is for lovers. Don't steal the love'
  3. Don't think it's rare, just great Northern and sure to be in-demand if it becomes known. None on ebay at the moment though!
  4. Here's one to chase... 'Hurts On Me, Baby' (Stang) Blistering 60's 'Northern' soul...unlike any of their other Stang releases!!! Backed by Willie & Mighty magnificents I do believe? It's on the flip of 'That's All'. Possibly an unissued 60's recording from their Hog days?
  5. So, why does the UK copy say 'A Vault Recording'....
  6. I think this is a fabulous tune! Played it a couple of weeks ago at a local scooter get-together and my fellow DJ (Ian, soulad) wanted it off me, first time he'd heard it and it blew him away! When I explained that they are around £15 he could'nt believe it! Out and out Northern with a kind of 'Hesitations' group feel about it.
  7. Anyone?
  8. Whats the UK Vocallion worth?
  9. It is available on a Studio One JA re-press at around £10 (or at least it was several years back).
  10. A man with taste! Couple of months back 'Explosive Dynamics' went for $154 (thats about £80 UK) on an auction site (not ebay...and that's why!) In a similar vein, have you heard 'Baby Baby Just A Little More Soul' by Little Harold & The Nomads? Great blue eyed Northern!!!
  11. Ugly things I reckon! Never had a pair, they looked like two pork pies on yer feet!
  12. Would'nt it be great if it turned out to be an absolute storming Northern monster!!! Wonder who I could cover it up as....??? Anyone got any ideas......
  13. Listed on a web site (not ebay) as Soul/R&B!!!! Flip is called 'Real Live Girl'.... "Good game, good game" (sorry, couldn't resist). Anybody ever heard it??? It's deffo him, label say's UK recording! Shall I buy it for a laugh?
  14. I thought the same as you Pete! I have in my boots box (some corkers in there!) and always thought it was a quality copy.
  15. Bet Garnett Mimms aint ever heard any of these listed on here!!!!
  16. Soul-slider replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
The UK release on London is around £40-60 The US release on Atco £20-30
  17. 'Since I lost My Baby' - Temptations
  18. That's the one Pete! I'm sure it's similar though?
  19. Always wondered...are these Kellmac Combinations the same as the ones on RCA ('Bump Ball')? Now, they are a white male group..
  20. Garnett Mimms did the original ; Quiet Place There's also a version by Prince Buster on Blue Beat
  21. Yes, that's right. Price for this is getting high, the boot is almost identical except for the stamp. A friend of my step dad's in the States knows one of the band members and he wants a copy, he doesn't know anything about boots etc and I thought I'd treat him. Obviously I aint Howard Hughes so looking for the next best thing to the original (he'll never know!) Anyone....
  22. I've had several of these, some say "Hey, I want to pay you the money for the item I won on ebay" or "When will you be sending my item?" and of course the evergreen "There's a complaint about you". Any you don't recognise...delete!
  23. Think I done mine early Mike, sorry...really just wanted to change the title to attract a bit more attention. John
  24. Temptations did come out on a white label ep in the nineties, obviously boot but with 3 other nice tracks: Marvin Gaye - Sweet Thing Barbara McNair - It Happens Evertime Isley Bros - Your Love Is My Love
